The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, July 12, tease that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will get a scary warning while Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) comes up with a new Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) takedown scheme.
Since Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) doesn’t trust Diane at all, she’s appalled over Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) taking the neutral approach.
From where Nikki is standing, she feels like the Abbotts are giving Diane a pass and letting their guards down.
However, Newman blood runs through Summer’s veins, so Nikki will think there might still be hope for her.
Nikki will corner Summer to sound the alarm, so this may be about Diane and the damage she could do to her granddaughter’s family.
There’s nothing that matters more to Summer than protecting Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez), so Nikki will no doubt use that protective side to her advantage.
Nikki may warn that if Summer lets Diane get too close, she’ll risk blowing up her marriage and losing that beloved little boy.
Nevertheless, Summer has faith in what she’s built with Kyle and won’t want to stand in the way of his reconnection with Diane.
Although Nikki might put some fear in Summer, it may not change much at this point.
Until something drastic happens to cause concern, Summer should stick to her plan and try to be supportive of Kyle bonding again with his mom.
Of course, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) would also like to catch Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) violating the restraining order that prevents him from seeing Harrison.
If Nikki gets updates on that, she might feel the need to warn Summer about what’s happening.
One way or another, Ashland will get arrested and end up stuck in a jail cell during the week of July 11-15.
Victor will make sure Ashland faces a major legal setback, so that’ll intensify an already raging feud.
In the meantime, Phyllis will settle on a new tactic to take Diane down.
Now that Phyllis has given up on repairing her romance with Jack, she’ll feel emboldened when it comes to plotting against her worst enemy.
Phyllis and Nikki have the same goal, so they’ll collaborate on a Diane scheme at some point this summer.
As for Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), he’ll turn on the charm and pull Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) closer.
Allie and Noah are starting to fall hard, so there’ll be some cute scenes as they continue getting to know each other.
