The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, July 26, teases that we’ll see Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) the fixer while Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) kicks off an Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) investigation. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will also turn to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) for guidance, so there’ll be some exciting things happening in Genoa City.
For starters, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will continue to reel over Ashland’s seemingly dead body disappearing.
Despite having no pulse and lying in a pool of his own blood from a head wound earlier, Ashland will be long gone.
Of course, this raises questions about what happened to Ashland after Victoria and Nick stepped away from the house.
One option is that Ashland wasn’t actually dead after Nick punched him into the fireplace.
Nick and Victoria aren’t doctors, so we can’t trust their assessment of Ashland being a corpse.
It’s possible we’ll get a storyline like we got with JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill), who seemed to be deceased before ultimately showing back up alive.
However, there’s another option to consider since we know how Victor operates.
Victor will play fixer on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, so we’ll see him do a little damage control during a crisis.
That could mean Victor’s security team got rid of Ashland’s body when Nick and Victoria weren’t looking.
Victor might also have instructions on how to deal with Chance, who’s sure to have questions when he shows up after being summoned.
In other words, it’s possible Victor launched a cover-up that Nick will reluctantly get dragged into.
That might line up with a moral dilemma Nick will face later during the week of July 25-29.
On the other hand, Victor will be determined to protect Victoria, so that perhaps points in the direction of him worrying Ashland could still be out there somewhere.
Maybe Victor wasn’t behind Ashland’s vanishing body, but he could still fix things so that this doesn’t turn into a media spectacle.
The story will certainly be more interesting if fans are left wondering about Ashland’s fate.
The threat of Ashland’s return could hang like a dark cloud and provide some great drama, so we’ll see how it all plays out.
As for Chance, he’ll investigate at Victoria’s house and may suspect he’s not getting the whole story.
Chance will put Victoria and Nick through a grilling session, so they’ll do their best to navigate a tricky situation.
Across town, Adam will turn to Sharon, even if he pretends he doesn’t want her guidance at first.
Maybe Adam will simply go looking for coffee at Crimson Lights and get some love life advice as a bonus.
Regardless, Adam is struggling following his breakup with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), so Sharon seems poised to find out and give him a nudge back in Sally’s direction.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will listen to Sharon’s words of wisdom and mull over his next move, so stay tuned.
