The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, March 1, teases that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will force Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to team up – or he’ll at least try to. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will also call an Abbott family meeting, so here’s what viewers can expect.
At Newman Media, Adam will continue to give Victor his loyalty.
They had some conflict recently, but Adam promised Victor could rely on him for the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) storm that’s brewing.
That’s one son down and one son to go! Victor will run into a few more problems when it comes to recruiting Nick for this mission.
Y&R fans will recall how Nick didn’t trust Ashland early on and carried out his own investigation.
Nick indeed uncovered some huge red flags, but he was chastised for trying to ruin his sister’s happiness instead of being rewarded for the truth.
Since Nick and Victoria Newman-Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) bond hasn’t been the same in the aftermath of that betrayal, he won’t be looking to commit another one.
However, Victor will insist it’s Ashland who’s betrayed Victoria – and it’s far worse than they ever could’ve imagined.
Victor will put Nick’s loyalty to the test and argue that it’s time to come together against Ashland as a family.
Nick will be hesitant since in his mind, everything Adam is attached to leads to drama.
The idea of working with Adam on this won’t be something Nick approves of.
Nevertheless, Victor will demand Nick’s support and try to force him into teaming up with Adam.
Victoria’s future and the fate of the company will be in the Newman men’s hands.
Over with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), she’ll wrestle with a massive secret she’s keeping.
Nikki will definitely have the video Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) sent on her mind.
Nikki is holding out hope that maybe that Peruvian doctor is just some bitter employee who was an attention hog or wanted quick cash.
Even so, Victor wouldn’t be so serious about this if he didn’t trust Michael’s report – and Nikki will know that, too.
The thought of Ashland faking his cancer and tricking Victoria will continue to trouble Nikki, but she’ll hide the truth and worry about another major Newman-Locke development.
Victoria will spread the word about making Ashland her co-CEO, so Nikki will sound the alarm.
Although Nikki won’t be willing to share her exact concerns, she’ll make it clear that she thinks this is a bad judgment call.
Next, Jack will bring some of the Abbotts together for a family meeting.
Jack won’t be able to gather everyone in person, but Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will show up for Jack’s announcement.
Traci will already know what Jack’s about to confess, but Billy will be genuinely floored over Jack’s Keemo Nguyen (Philip Moon) updates.
Jack will note that he was too ashamed to admit Keemo cut him off years ago. He’s been pretending to be getting along with his son just fine.
Of course, that all changed when these mysterious texts started rolling in.
Jack will talk about digging with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and finding out Keemo recently died of a heart attack.
Billy will hate to hear that and will want to help Jack in any way he can – including going to Los Angeles with him.
Traci will offer to catch a flight with Jack as well, but he’ll act like this is something he needs to do alone.
Since Traci will remain wary of Jack falling into a trap, he’ll change his mind about flying solo later.
Jack will let Phyllis be his partner when it comes to solving the rest of this mystery – and he’ll be glad he did down the road.
