The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, May 10, teases that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will have a gift for Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) while Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) makes a disturbing discovery. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will also be haunted by his history, so there’ll be some big things happening across Genoa City.
At the Abbott mansion, Allie will be a little uncomfortable as Jack makes introductions.
However, Jack will do his best to make Allie feel loved and accepted. You can bet Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will roll out the welcome wagon as well since she’s got a heart of gold!
Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) should put her previous worries aside and just focus on the sweet granddaughter that Jack’s getting to know.
If Ashley can keep an open mind, she’ll see that she has a lot in common with Allie.
Allie may acknowledge that she got swept up in Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) manipulation and apologize for that.
Nevertheless, Allie might also admit that she believes Diane’s love for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is real.
Maybe Allie could be what pushes Kyle to realize he has to give Diane a real shot.
Kyle has been a bit on the fence, so Allie’s view as an outsider could help him make a firm decision.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) considers himself a bit of an Abbott outsider as well – and you could certainly argue Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) is one since she’s half Newman.
There’ll be ways for Billy and Abby to bond with Allie once she settles in.
Jack will no doubt invite Allie to stay as long as she likes, but all of this will be a lot to take in.
Allie is no doubt lonely and drowning in grief following the death of her father.
That may be part of why Allie showed up out of nowhere – just looking for Jack’s comfort and some relatives to cling to.
As wonderful as it’ll be to get the gift of a family, it’ll remind Allie that Keemo Nguyen (Philip Moon) isn’t around to see it.
Allie would much rather have her dad by her side for this reconnection, so she’ll break down in tears once she’s alone.
Meanwhile, Diane will face another round of backlash when she bumps into Nick and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).
It’ll stir up unfortunate memories of Nick’s past with Diane and lead to yet another faceoff.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) warned Diane to stay away from their family, so Nick should rip into Diane and deliver a similar warning.
Sharon will also stay on guard, but Diane will likely mention hearing about Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) passing away and insist she’s truly sorry for her loss.
Even if Sharon doesn’t believe Diane has changed, she should at least get some compassionate words.
Next, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will find success in his new corporate role, but it’ll be tough for Elena to accept this fiercer and more calculated side of him.
Elena will discover the changes in Nate and become unsettled by them, so this could bring some romantic trouble soon enough.
