The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, May 17, teases that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will reunite in Genoa City after Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) gets an unexpected invite. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will also say their vows, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.
At Top of the Tower, Tessa and Mariah will face the happiest of tears as they make meaningful promises to each other.
Kyle will be there to guide Mariah and Tessa through the rest of the ceremony, but they’ll mostly focus on their enduring love and look to the future.
After rings are exchanged and pledges are made, Kyle will pronounce them wives and make “Teriah” a married couple at last.
Once that portion of the nuptials is over, it’ll be time for the reception – though Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) suggested calling it an afterparty since that sounds a little less stuffy.
It works for this laidback wedding and the fun ‘70s glam vibe they’ve got going on.
Summer’s flight didn’t make it in time for her to watch Tessa and Mariah get hitched, but she’ll still try to make it to the bash afterward.
When Summer shows up at the Abbott house with her suitcase in tow, she’ll immediately bump into Allie.
Summer has heard all about Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) granddaughter, so she’ll reveal that she’s Kyle’s wife and try to make a positive impression.
This should lead to Summer pushing Allie to attend the nuptials with her.
Allie may be wary of crashing the wedding, but Summer might argue that it’s not really crashing since she’s inviting her.
Summer knows Mariah and Tessa well enough to know they’d love to have another person there to celebrate their big day.
Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) perhaps stands a better chance of being a true wedding crasher since she’ll definitely find it hard to stay away from Kyle and his friends.
That’s a situation to keep an eye on later during the week of May 16-20.
In the meantime, Summer will look rather glamorous as she tracks Kyle down at the afterparty.
We’ll get our first chance at seeing Kyle’s chemistry with the Summer recast soon enough.
Over with Jack, he’ll be tickled pink when he realizes Allie has decided to join the shindig.
Jack’s fun streak will continue when he ultimately catches the bouquet, so let’s hope this is a good sign for Jack’s relationship with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis and Jack will grow closer in the weeks ahead, but Diane could cause some snags along the way.
