The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, May 3 Recap – Victoria’s Ultimatum to Dethrone Adam – Billy Confronts Ashland

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 3, reveals that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will deliver an ultimatum to dethrone Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) while Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) promises she’s not jealous of Adam’s exes.

In Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) hotel suite on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, she’ll admit she’s been expecting Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

After Victor warns that Diane’s stay will be a short one, he’ll argue that her metamorphosis is a bunch of bull.

Diane will guess that only the Newmans are allowed to change and will insist she’s only there to ask for Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) forgiveness.

Victor will point out that Kyle is now in the Newman circle of protection since he’s married to Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).

However, Diane will maintain that she only wants what’s best for Kyle.

Victor will suggest if that’s really the case, Diane should get her behind on a bus and leave town.

Before Victor departs, he’ll point out that Diane knows what he’s capable of – and it’s a lot more than sneaking into a hotel suite!

At Society, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will find Kyle at the bar and express surprise over his sudden trip to Genoa City.

After they address Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) death and how Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) insisted on the wedding moving forward, Mariah will hope Kyle can stick around and officiate.

When Kyle is unwilling to commit, Mariah will know something’s going on.

Mariah will hope Kyle knows he can count on her, so Kyle will take Mariah back to the Abbott mansion and spill that Diane faked her death.

Mariah will understand when Kyle admits his instinct is to welcome Diane back into his life.

At the same time, Mariah will wonder how Kyle can trust Diane. She’ll ask why on earth Kyle would let Diane anywhere near Summer or Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez).

In their hotel bed, Adam and Sally will discuss his visit to see Sharon.

After Adam mentions he was the first person Sharon really broke down in front of, he’ll worry Sally doesn’t want to hear this.

As they get dressed, Sally will assure Adam that openness is the basis of their relationship.

Sally will make it clear that she’s not jealous of Sharon or Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

Sally will feel confident in their relationship, so Adam will suggest they should grab every moment before diving in for some passionate kisses.

At Crimson Lights, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will run into Victoria and annoy her with questions about the accident as well as Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).

Victoria will admit Ashland is leaving Newman-Locke and that they’re having their marriage annulled.

That news will please Billy, but he’ll still worry about the hold Ashland might have on Victoria.

After Victoria warns Billy to stop psychoanalyzing her, she’ll argue that all she can do is move forward now.

Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will enter right as Victoria’s leaving and will realize something went down.

After Lily gets updates on Billy butting in Victoria’s business again, she’ll fret over this pattern of needing to save the women in his life.

Lily will wonder if this is going to happen in their own relationship – if Billy will just interfere when there’s a problem whether Lily wants him to or not.

Billy will offer reassurance and act like his concerns are just about Ashland, who might be plotting revenge since he’s hanging around town.

Lily will worry that Billy is going to fixate on this and will once again beg him to butt out.

At Newman Media, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will inform Victoria that Rey’s cause of death was a heart attack, which is what led to the accident.

Victoria will be relieved, but she’ll still feel like she’s trying to process everything that happened.

After Nikki exits, Victor will want to speak with Victoria about Adam’s position at Newman-Locke, which will soon drop the Locke to become Newman Enterprises again.

Victoria will argue that a temporary CEO is no longer needed – and she’ll shut down Victor’s idea of Adam becoming her co-CEO.

Although Victoria will think she’s handling her trauma just fine, Victor will wonder why his daughter’s being so stubborn.

Victor will also admit he’s not sure Victoria can rid herself of “that bastard” Ashland.

Victoria will get fed up with Victor constantly second-guessing her, so she’ll deliver an ultimatum.

If Victor chooses Adam and lets him stay, then Victoria will go and won’t look back!

After Adam arrives and asks what he missed, Victoria will insist that Victor can fill him in.

Victor will delay the CEO discussion once Victoria’s gone and will want to talk about Diane’s return from the “dead” instead.

Back in her hotel suite, Diane will leave Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) a voicemail.

Diane will admit Kyle’s reaction wasn’t what she was hoping for, but she’ll guess it’s all she can expect right now.

Diane will insist that she did what she came to do and will acknowledge that there are no guarantees about the future.

That’s why Diane will claim she’s leaving for Los Angeles in the morning.

Down in the lobby, Ashland will get off the elevator and lock eyes with an angry Billy.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashland’s presence will lead to more problems, so keep watching Y&R!
