The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, October 18, tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will pick Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) as a Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) CEO replacement while Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has a Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) emergency.
At Newman Enterprises on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Nate will come clean to Victoria about exposing their plan, but he’ll point out that he kept her name out of it.
Victoria will decide the takeover can still be salvaged, but Nate won’t have the shares since his board seat never legally translated into an ownership stake. Besides, Nate will think he has to focus on trying to make things right with his family.
Victoria will decide Nate’s loyalty should be rewarded since he didn’t rat her out to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and the others.
With that in mind, Victoria will vow to find Nate a suitable position at Newman Enterprises.
At Chancellor-Winters, Devon will admit he isn’t sure whether Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) is telling the truth.
After what happened with Nate, Devon won’t know who to trust anymore.
Devon will think the smart thing to do is pull the plug on the IPO, but Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will note that they’ll have to talk to Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) about that.
However, Devon will make it clear that he’s not going public, so Jill will have to go through him if she wants to insist.
At Newman Media, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will demand to know why Sally is spending time with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) outside the office.
Sally will act like they’re just friends, but Summer will be skeptical and will find the idea of Sally dating her dad beyond disturbing.
After Summer asks if this is about making Adam jealous or perhaps a power move, she’ll insist Nick deserves better.
Summer won’t want Nick pulled into Sally’s disaster of a life, but Sally will think Summer needs to let her dad make his own decisions.
On The Grand Phoenix rooftop, Nick will find Adam after he’s spent the whole night up there.
Adam will bicker with Nick, who won’t want Sally caught in the middle of another brother vs. brother feud.
Adam will assure Nick that he’s not a glutton for punishment and knows he can’t force Sally to forgive him.
As Adam heads off to work, he’ll suggest Nick can run back to Sally and suggest he saved the day again.
Once Adam shows up late at Jabot, he’ll look disheveled and out of it.
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will think Adam is proving he’s a liability, but he’ll ultimately warn Adam to just keep digging that hole until he buries himself.
At Society, Summer will confront Nick about the Sally situation, but Nick will argue that they’re just close friends for now.
Although Summer will remain on edge, she’ll decide to put all the drama on hold and kick off her vacation with Kyle.
When Sally finds Connor alone at Crimson Lights, he’ll admit Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) dropped him off to meet his dad, who’s running late.
Connor will wonder if Sally is there to take him to Adam, but she’ll admit she isn’t.
Once Connor realizes Sally and Adam aren’t back together, he’ll note that his dad was always in a good mood after he saw her.
Now Adam doesn’t smile as much since he misses Sally.
While Sally chats, she’ll discreetly text Adam to get to the coffeehouse ASAP and will mention that it’s about Connor.
In the meantime, Connor will confess that he lied about seeing Adam when they pulled up – just so Chelsea would take off.
Connor will add although Chelsea thinks things are fine between them, they’re not anymore.
Adam will appear in the patio doorway looking concerned over Connor’s apparent crisis.
At Newman Enterprises, Victoria will give Nick updates on the Chancellor-Winters takeover deal imploding.
When Victoria says she wants to replace Sally with Nate, Nick will advise against this knee-jerk response.
Victoria and Nick will argue about what the right move is, but he’ll eventually get her to table the discussion.
For now, Nick will want to be sure they agree to do nothing.
At Nate’s penthouse, he’ll open the door to an angry Devon, who’ll push Nate to help him understand “what the hell” is wrong with him.
Devon will suggest this is Nate’s chance to come clean about everything and reveal why he wanted to screw them over the way he did.
After Devon says there’s no job on the table, he’ll see no reason for Nate to hold back.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon and Nate’s family feud will continue, so stay tuned!
