The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, September 13 Recap – Chance & Chelsea Relax Together - Summer Blames Diane

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 13, teases that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will suspect Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) faked a Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) setup while Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) has an awful dream.

At Newman Media, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will find Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) working late and trying to undo all her latest damage.

After Nick admits Sally is on thin ice with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), he’ll seem sympathetic to Sally’s issues with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Sally will reflect on how she always felt like she was destined for greatness, but there’s still a small part of her that feels like an imposter.

Nick will understand when Sally talks about feeling lost sometimes, especially since he killed Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).

Sally will suggest a deal and insist she won’t stop fighting for what she wants if Nick won’t.

After Nick takes that deal, he’ll accept Sally’s handshake as they share a steamy look.

At the ranch, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will claim she’s headed to Los Angeles tomorrow to meet with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Eric Forrester (John McCook).

Although Nikki will want Forrester Creations to design a dress for Summer’s vow renewal, Victoria will think there’s more to the story.

Once Nikki admits this visit is also about scoring Diane dirt from Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), Victoria will spell out all the reasons it’s a bad idea.

Deacon enabled Nikki to drink, led to her destructive affair and blackmailed her into marriage.

Victoria will fear this could trigger a setback for Nikki, but she’ll eventually relent since her mom won’t back down.

At Society, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will warn Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) that it was a mistake to hire Adam, but Jack will have faith in him.

Although Victor will claim he’s done trying to get through to his son, Jack won’t buy that Victor is truly giving up.

At the Abbott house, Diane will interrupt Summer and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) kiss with her arrival.

Once Diane barges in, she’ll be livid over Phyllis and how relentless she is.

Diane will explain that she came across a document related to the line that Phyllis heads up.

It was an agreement with a subcontractor to create furniture for an outrageous amount, which Diane will think raises red flags and reeks of a kickback scheme.

Diane will argue that Phyllis “the very savvy computer hacker” must’ve slipped it onto her hard drive.

Since Diane already felt confident Phyllis planned to frame her, she’ll push Kyle and Summer to see that she was right.

Diane will think Phyllis could’ve planted that file and planned to transfer it to her own computer later.

That would’ve allowed Phyllis to “discover” it and pretend to trace it back to Diane as bogus proof.

Summer and Kyle will vow to get to the bottom of the situation, but they’ll want Diane to let them handle it.

As Diane tears up, she’ll talk about having to feel like she’s on guard all the time – though she’ll thank Kyle and Summer for making her feel seen and heard tonight.

While Diane is upstairs reading Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) a bedtime story, Summer will admit to Kyle that this alleged setup feels clumsy to her.

Kyle won’t want to think the worst of Phyllis, but he’ll question how else that file could’ve ended up on Diane’s computer.

Summer will wonder if maybe Diane just wants them to think Phyllis is setting her up – that maybe Diane created the file along with this crazy story to throw suspicion on Phyllis.

After Summer suggests Diane might be trying to get Phyllis out of the way, she’ll push Kyle to see that there’s more than one possible explanation.

At home, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will suggest a late-night dip in the pool, but he’ll look over and see that Abby is already asleep.

After leaving Abby a note, Chance will end up at Crimson Lights and talk to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) about feeling a bit restless.

Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will join Chance for decaf coffee and confess she was feeling lonely in her suite.

Once Chance suggests some relaxation techniques from his therapist, Chelsea will agree to try one out.

Sharon will wind up spotting Chance and Chelsea as they do a breathing exercise together.

Back with Abby, she’ll dream that Chance is canceling their date night for the investigation of a lifetime.

Chance will insist this investigation means everything to him, but Abby will seem upset about him bailing on their family for it.

After Abby wakes up startled, she’ll look over and find that Chance isn’t in bed with her.

Chance will explain his coffeehouse visit once he comes home and realizes Abby didn’t see his note.

Abby will fret over her bad dream and feel like she’s out of sync with Chance, but he’ll insist they’re beyond fine and offer up some kisses.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance and Abby have more marriage problems ahead of them, so stay tuned!
