The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, September 20 Recap – Victoria's Dirty Play Panics Nick - Deacon’s Cryptic Message

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 20, reveals that Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) explosive scheme will panic Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) while Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) gets a cryptic message. Let’s discuss what’s coming up on Y&R.

In Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) Los Angeles hotel room, she’ll meet with Talia Morgan (Natalie Morales) and discuss her plan to score incriminating Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) info from Deacon.

Talia will talk about working on a book since her follow-up stories were killed, so Nikki will be glad to hear the story’s still being told.

After Talia urges Nikki to open up about her past with Deacon, Nikki will decide it’d be good to work through all this before her Deacon meeting – though it’ll be off the record.

Nikki will reflect on how Deacon encouraged her drinking and took advantage of the situation when she was accused of killing Diane.

There’ll be some flashbacks as Nikki realizes she can’t get complacent when it comes to Deacon or else she could get into trouble.

At Society, Diane and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will both say all the right things to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier), but they’ll need them to back up their flowery words with actions.

Summer and Kyle will make it clear that if there’s one more confrontation – no matter who provoked it – both their moms will be out at Marchetti.

Although Phyllis and Diane will think this is unfair, they’ll plaster on smiles and act like there’ll be no more problems.

Afterward, Diane will talk to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about the harsh ultimatum, but Jack will act like it’s tough love and warn Diane not to fall back into old habits.

Diane will assure Jack that she’ll take his advice to heart, so he’ll be glad to hear it.

Once Diane leaves Jack’s office, she’ll get a text about Nikki being in LA with Talia.

The mystery sender will insist he or she can’t old off Talia’s editor for much longer.

Back with Nikki, she’ll send a mysterious text of her own to Deacon and tell him it’s important that they meet.

Deacon will seem pensive as he looks at the message, which will include the hotel and room number.

Back in Genoa City, Imani Benedict (temporarily played by Denise Boutte) will fret over her father, who collapsed and had to be hospitalized.

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will get updates from Imani at Crimson Lights and call the doctor working the case, so he’ll be able to offer good news.

Although Imani’s dad collapsed due to extreme exhaustion, Nate will insist he’s going to be fine.

Imani will praise Nate for always making her feel better, but he’ll act like Imani is the one who’s been so supportive.

Nate will also hug Imani and encourage her to take Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) jet so she can visit her father.

Imani will hope that Nate will reconsider leaving Chancellor-Winters, so he’ll hint that he’s got more to accomplish there.

After Imani asks Nate to promise her that he’ll be back at Chancellor-Winters when she returns, he’ll grin and insist that’s the plan.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria will tell Nick that she found out some inside info about Chancellor-Winters going public.

Victoria will want to use that inside info to grab as much initial stock offering as possible.

The goal will be majority control and several seats on the board, but Nick will have concerns and realize vindictive Nate must’ve supplied the info.

Nick will wonder what’s in it for Nate, so Victoria will talk about making Nate the CEO of Chancellor-Winters in return.

After Nick rants about this being unethical, he’ll warn that if Nate benefits financially from this in any way, he’s going to invite some serious SEC scrutiny.

Victoria will push Nick to admit it’s a smart move for Newman Enterprises, but he’ll think Devon and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) are going to take it personally because it is personal.

Nick will wonder if this has something to do with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), but Victoria will act like it’s all about business.

Even so, Nick will warn about this being an explosive and expensive move.

Victoria will admit she hasn’t run it by Victor yet, but she’ll think it’s ultimately her call and will suggest this is exactly the kind of move her dad would make.

After Victoria talks about Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) having control of Chancellor at one point, she’ll note that it was hard for him to let go of that legacy.

Victoria will act like this will be a good decision all around and will push Nick to give her one solid reason they can’t seize the moment.

Nick will realize he can’t give Victoria one that she wants to hear and will give up trying to convince her – at least for now.

Afterward, Victoria will call Nate to reveal that she’s been thinking about his proposal and wants to meet.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate and Victoria could both be playing with fire, so stay tuned to see if they’ll get burned!
