The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) seems poised to confront Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) with proof of his fake illness. Will Victor decide the fate of Victoria Newman-Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) husband? Could Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) jeopardize that plan with his own decision?
After Victor puts Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) on the case, some strange things aren’t going to add up.
There’ll be more questions than answers as Michael seeks the truth about Ashland’s diagnosis, treatment and miraculous recovery.
Michael could easily find out that Ashland’s specialists are fake or have shady track records.
There’ll certainly be concerns about this treatment in Peru and how this solution so conveniently landed in Ashland’s lap.
All signs point to Ashland faking his lung cancer, so that means Victor will have to decide what he’s going to do about that.
Y&R spoilers suggest Victor will be in a tight spot since Victoria agreed to this merger, which was no doubt a huge part of Ashland’s plan.
Of course, Ashland may assure Victor that he adores his daughter and truly wants a future with her.
Ashland might apologize for lying and admit this started out as a scam, but Ashland does seem to genuinely be in love with Victoria now.
Will that be enough to convince Victor to keep his mouth shut?
Victor was willing to stay quiet about Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones) early on and has consistently overlooked a lot of terrible details from Ashland’s past.
That’s because Victoria is happier than Victor has seen her in a long time.
The last thing Victor wants to do is break Victoria’s heart, so he may be reluctant to drop this fake illness bomb on her.
Ashland may plead with Victor to just let Victoria keep right on believing that he’s recovered instead of telling her he never had cancer to begin with.
Victor might indeed be tempted to leave this alone – not just for Victoria, but for the sake of protecting the Newman legacy, too.
It won’t look good if everyone finds out Ashland roped Victoria into a merger and a marriage through a fake terminal diagnosis.
That could do serious damage to the Newman brand and make their supposedly brilliant leader Victoria seem like a fool.
Victor might strike a deal with Ashland and agree to remain silent, but something tells us Adam won’t agree with that decision if he becomes privy to it.
Adam could be eager to expose the worst mistake of Victoria’s life and bring her empire crumbling down for revenge.
