The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may order Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to fire Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Will Victor test his son’s company loyalty and try to push the wildcard out?
There was a time when Sally somewhat impressed Victor, but he’s always been wary of her getting too close to Adam.
Plus, Victor can’t forget how Sally targeted Summer Newman-Abbott (Hunter King) and teamed up with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner).
Victor knows “that Spectra woman” is dangerous and recently complained about her involvement in all the Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) spy games.
Of course, Victor’s concerns about Sally could grow now that he’s taking on a more active role at Newman Media.
Newman Fashion is a rising star when it comes to the company’s hottest divisions. It’s doing big things for the brand, so Victor will surely want to keep it around and cultivate its worth.
However, Victor may get updates on Sally’s feud with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and decide that’s not going to work.
Chelsea might even decide to get smart and complain to Victor about Sally being a detriment to the entire platform.
Chelsea could argue that Adam’s crush on Sally is making him lose sight of the big picture.
That’d be a great way for Chelsea to get rid of Sally since Victor is already concerned about Adam missing warning signs and not staying on top of things.
Victor has warned Adam not to get romantically entangled with toxic women like Sally, so he might decide to eliminate Adam’s distraction – or better yet, force Adam to eliminate the distraction himself.
Perhaps as part of Victor’s more active role, he’ll monitor this Newman Fashion situation and demand a major charge.
During the week of January 31-February 4, Y&R spoilers say Victor’s ultimatum will catch Adam off guard.
It might be interesting if Victor demands that Adam fire Sally or risk losing his own job.
Victor likes mind games and tends to put his children to the test, so this may be another one for Adam to pass – that is if he’s willing to give Sally the boot.
It’s worth mentioning that Sally will feel cornered during that same week, so she may worry she’ll be given the boot.
Naturally, there could be some other ultimatum that Victor has in mind, but he’ll definitely want Adam to fall in line like a good little Newman soldier!
