The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) could face a forced co-CEO deal. Will Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) drive a hard bargain that involves both Adam and Victoria on the throne?
Victor already pushed for this outcome, but Victoria found a sneaky way around it by naming Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) her co-CEO instead.
Since Victor couldn’t argue with his lovely, brilliant wife running Newman by Victoria’s side, he accepted that decision.
However, we’re dealing with a whole new situation now that Victoria has quit Newman Enterprises for a fresh start with Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).
Victor is on the verge of letting Adam have the CEO spot while Nikki steps back down to COO.
Of course, Victor has an agenda since he’s hoping Victoria will find this Adam takeover news unbearable and come running back home.
We know that Victoria will indeed return home soon, so this could lead to an unpleasant compromise all around.
Victor can’t ban Victoria from reclaiming the throne completely or else she’ll just run off again to build a new empire with Ashland. It’d defeat the purpose of luring Victoria back to Genoa City.
At the same time, Victor will hate to yank the throne away from Adam – and his preferred outcome seems to be Adam sharing the CEO spot with Victoria anyway.
Victor might decide he’s willing to tolerate Victoria’s reunion with Ashland if she remains in GC and becomes Adam’s co-CEO.
That’d give Victor a chance to come up with another Ashland takedown strategy that would stick.
You can bet Adam and Victoria would object to working as a team, but Victor could play hardball and insist this is the only path to power.
Victor might argue that Victoria and Adam will have to join forces or neither one of them will be in charge.
