The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) may fight Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) co-CEO promotion. Will Victoria challenge Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) demand and try to keep the throne all to herself?
During the week of September 5-9, Y&R spoilers say Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will make a startling announcement. Since Nikki is caught up in all this Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) drama and the complications that are about to result, she may decide to quit her day job.
Nikki is currently serving as Victoria’s co-CEO while Nick is in the COO position. However, Victor has been quite pleased with Nick’s work since he’s been back at Newman and may think he’s ready to take Nikki’s place.
In other words, Nikki may step down from the co-CEO role – and Victor may push for Nick to slide right in as her replacement. That’s a change that’d make perfect sense to Victor, who’ll indeed demand some changes at the company soon enough.
Of course, Victoria only agreed to let Nikki become her co-CEO to block Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) from taking the same position. Although Victoria has enjoyed working with her mom, that may be partly because Nikki defers to her judgment on everything.
Nick, on the other hand, could give Victoria more pushback and make her feel less in charge. Sharing power with Nick may not be something Victoria is interested in doing, so she may clash with Victor on this.
Victoria has something to prove now that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) is out of her life. It’s clear that Victoria wants to show she can stand on her own two feet – and having Nick as a co-CEO kind of undermines that idea.
Victoria may urge Victor to trust her with the CEO position on her own, but will Victor stand his ground and force Victoria to share power anyway? Victor may believe Nick can even out Victoria’s more impulsive and aggressive tendencies lately, but she may feel like her brother’s taking over.
