The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) may fire Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) for Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), but Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will no doubt object if that happens. Will Sally become the source of the first sibling power struggle at Newman Media?
During the week of January 31-February 4, Chelsea will be on a mission. She’ll leave Sally feeling backed into a corner and will deliver some shocker that Sally didn’t see coming.
This could be what Chelsea views as her ideal opportunity to get rid of Sally for good at Newman Fashion.
Let’s put ourselves in Chelsea’s shoes for a moment.
Chelsea wants Sally out of the picture and is tired of hearing Sally pat herself on the back over that wedding dress in Tuscany.
It would really stick it to Sally if Chelsea got Victoria – a previously satisfied bride – to turn against Sally now.
Chelsea might urge Victoria to show off her new power and pull rank with her brother.
Chelsea may argue that Sally does nothing but sidetrack Adam and act like Newman Media would be better off without her.
Victoria likes to think she’s just like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who always puts business over anything personal.
Perhaps Victoria will tell Sally that despite how pleased she was with the bridal gown, Sally is creating a hostile work environment and has to go.
Victoria’s real reason for cutting Sally loose would be to a) show Adam she’s in charge and b) make running Newman Media less fun for him.
Victoria would much rather cut Adam loose as well, so she might hope Adam will quit in solidarity with Sally.
However, Y&R spoilers say Adam will step up for Sally later in the week, January 31 to February 4.
He’ll turn out to be Sally’s hero somehow, so that could mean Adam will put his foot down and insist Sally is invaluable to Newman Fashion – and therefore invaluable to Newman Media in general.
Adam might turn the tables by going over Victoria’s head and showing Victor that she’s already playing childish games.
Perhaps Adam could argue that he’s willing to work under Victoria – but only if she behaves like an adult and stops trying to fire their biggest assets.
Of course, Adam’s plan won’t necessarily work, especially if Sally decides to leave anyway.
The Young and the Restless put out February sweeps info that focuses Chelsea and Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) careers without including Sally as part of the package.
That could mean Adam will lose the Sally battle ahead – or perhaps Sally will wave the white flag herself.
Regardless, Sally might appreciate Adam’s willingness to fight for her. This could bring Adam and Sally closer, so it wouldn’t be a total loss for Sally!
