Victoria will be devastated over Ashland’s deception, but she could channel all her pain and anger into fuel for this plot.
Maybe the best way to cope with Ashland’s dirty trick is to respond with a dirty trick of her own.
Y&R fans might see Victoria resort to manipulating the Locke-ness monster and beating him at his own game.
Ashland may not have intended to fall in love with Victoria along the way, but it seems he indeed did.
That doesn’t eliminate Ashland’s guilt over this merger setup and plan to gain more power, but it does leave him with a weak spot for Victoria to exploit.
Victoria may be the person in the best position to truly bring Ashland down.
Of course, Victoria would have to put on a convincing act and make Ashland believe she’s still on his side.
Victoria could lash out at Ashland initially and then soften – just like she’s done over previous secrets.
Since Ashland has been able to keep Victoria in his corner in the past, it wouldn’t be hard for him to believe he could do it again.
In reality, Victoria might simply pretend to forgive Ashland and set him up for total destruction.
As Ashland’s main victim, Victoria needs a chance to take the lead on a revenge plot and make Ashland regret what he did to her.
Victoria has always been a “take charge” kind of gal, so maybe she can step up and fight back against Ashland without him even realizing it.
This could serve as a way to prove herself to Victor again after getting duped.
By turning the tables and tricking Ashland, it could go a long way toward earning Victor’s trust and respect again.
That may not save Victoria’s leadership role at Newman Enterprises, but she could at least give it a try!
