In other words, Victoria has something to prove right now and won’t let anyone stand in her way.
That’s why Victoria wants to make Newman Enterprises bigger and better than ever.
Victoria feels like there are some great opportunities out there, so she wants to strike while the iron’s hot and not let those chances pass her by.
However, both Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) expressed concern in the August 24 episode.
It’s obvious that Victoria is overcompensating when it comes to Ashland and this desire to show everyone she’s moving forward.
We understand wanting to move onward and upward, but there’s a right way and a wrong way to do that.
Nikki voiced her fears about Victoria’s aggressive business strategies, but she knew they were straight out of Victor’s playbook.
Victor is pleased for now, but that may not be the case for much longer!
Nick warned Victoria that they might be biting off more than they could chew with the long list of acquisitions she has in mind.
Those acquisitions will come with a hefty price tag and will mean a lot of work to integrate into the company.
Victoria feels confident that she can do anything with Nick by her side, but this Y&R storyline may be headed somewhere else instead.
Nick seems like the levelheaded one who’s actually thinking about the situation rationally and wanting to do what’s best for Newman Enterprises.
Victoria, on the other hand, is mostly focused on doing what’s best for herself.
Over time, Victor could begin to see Nick as the more qualified leader as a result.
Regardless, Victoria could be setting herself up for disaster with her latest gamble – and the results may not be pretty!
