The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 13, reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will lie after Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) exposes Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) plan. “Taylor Jensen” aka Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will also check in The Grand Phoenix, so here’s what Y&R viewers can look forward to.
In Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) office, she’ll admit she can’t just turn her feelings for Ashland off overnight.
That said, Victoria won’t think any residual emotions matter since she’ll be committed to the plan against Ashland.
Victor, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will still seem concerned about Victoria’s decision-making skills right now. There’ll also be some worries about the plan falling apart.
Victor will believe Ashland is backpedaling because he’s suspicious, but Victoria will think it’s possible Ashland is genuinely conflicted – that he can be ruthless and still love her.
After Victoria implies her marriage is like Victor and Nikki’s relationship, Victor won’t agree.
Victor will call Ashland a narcissist and remind Victoria that she was used.
Victoria will eventually get sick of her family telling her how to feel and having no faith in her.
Victoria will leave in a huff, but Nikki will hope for a civil conversation once Victoria cools off.
At Crimson Lights, Adam will urge Ashland to take the $500 million along with this drama-free exit.
Ashland will think Adam’s own self-interests are driving this offer, but Adam won’t think his motives should matter here.
Although Adam will claim he’s got the support of the Newmans – including Victor – Ashland will be skeptical.
Ashland will remind Adam of the lawsuit that led to his siblings getting $500 million and will find it cruel of Victor to offer the amount Adam didn’t get.
Adam will assure Ashland that Victor agreed to this offer and will warn that he’s got one hour before it expires.
If Ashland takes the deal, Adam will promise that the money will be wired into an account of his choosing tomorrow morning.
If Ashland turns it down, then Adam will wish him luck surviving what comes next.
After Adam updates Sally on his alternative plan, she’ll think she handled Ashland masterfully.
They’ll walk in Society and find Victoria sitting at the bar, so Adam will approach her while Sally grabs a table.
Adam will express concern since Ashland still hasn’t planted the fake evidence.
Victoria will admit there may be a change of plans, but she’ll insist Adam will know when he needs to know.
That’ll leave Adam livid since he’s putting himself at risk, but Victoria can’t even do the bare minimum of keep him informed.
Adam will want Victoria to admit her plan didn’t work and will suggest she must’ve screwed it up.
Adam will suspect that Ashland saw through Victoria’s deception and backed off.
Victoria will rant about how she’s accomplished far more than Adam could ever dream of.
Victoria will think Adam’s been given plenty of chances, but he fails every time because that’s who he is.
After Victoria stomps off, Adam will reconvene with Sally and insist his sister’s plan is a mess.
Sally will agree it’s a dumpster fire, but she’ll worry about how Victor will react to the money he offered Ashland.
Adam will suggest that if Ashland takes the deal, Victor will be fine with it. If Ashland rejects it, then Adam won’t see why Victor even has to know.
Back at Newman-Locke, Ashland will find Nikki and Victor in Victoria’s office.
After Ashland says he was hoping to discuss the offer Adam just made, Victor will play along and pretend it was legit.
Victor will act like he’s willing to pay a great deal of money since he wants Ashland gone.
Ashland will point out that he found the amount rather cold.
Ashland will note that it was the exact amount Victor was forced to hand over to each of his children except Adam.
Victor will lash out over Ashland questioning his relationship with his son.
Victor will just want to know if Ashland’s going to take the $500 million and “get the hell out of town.”
Ashland will think it seems like maybe Victor was caught off guard. When Victoria returns, she’ll find out a negotiation is underway.
Ashland will explain that Adam and perhaps Victor offered him a whole lot of money to walk away from everything in Genoa City, including Victoria.
Victoria will be taken aback as Ashland asks if he should take the deal and go.
Ashland will wonder if maybe he’s put Victoria through enough pain and will ask if they should both just move on.
After Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) drops Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) off at The Grand Phoenix, he’ll have a family meeting with Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
That’s when Jack will drop the bomb that Diane Jenkins is alive and was behind the mysterious texts.
There’ll be doubts at first, but Jack will insist that he saw Diane and spoke to her more than once.
Jack will admit Diane was trying to earn forgiveness by connecting him with Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) – at least enough to score his help reconnecting with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Ashley will wonder how this “bitch” came back into their lives, so Jack will explain how Diane faked her death with Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) help.
Billy will hope Jack has a plan to deal with Diane since she’s a threat to half of the town. Ashley will also fret over the idea of Diane coming back to GC and will want to shut that down.
Although Jack will be aware of the ramifications, his priority will be Kyle and his family.
Jack will plan to give Kyle all the facts, but he’ll worry about what’ll happen if Diane finds her way back into Kyle’s life.
Back at The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis will fill Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) in on her latest Los Angeles trip and will once again insist Jack is just her friend.
Amanda will convince Phyllis to have a spa day with her, so they’ll head off together just before Diane enters.
As a disguised Diane visits the front desk, she’ll offer her fake name of “Taylor Jensen” and will reveal that she’ll be staying for a while.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane’s homecoming will lead to more conflict, so stay tuned!
