The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, August 10, tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will get trapped in Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) web while Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) plots a top-secret Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) move.
For starters, Nikki will decide it’s time to have a little chat with Abby and let her know what’s at stake.
Of course, Nikki may not come right out and confirm there’s an Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) cover-up, but it won’t be hard for Abby to guess.
Abby knows how far Victor will go to save his children.
It probably won’t be long until Abby realizes Victor manipulated the situation to protect Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Nikki will drop hints about Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) needing to back off the Ashland case.
That’ll bring the assumption that Abby should make that happen, so she’ll be caught in a tight spot.
Abby may shut down the idea of interfering in Chance’s investigation, but she could end up rethinking her stance if he gets too close to the truth.
In the meantime, Phyllis will be cagey about her plans at Marchetti.
Since Phyllis feels confident she’s got everything under control, she may even keep Nikki and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) in the dark on the exact details.
Nevertheless, Phyllis will remain devoted to this Diane destruction mission. We’ll see Phyllis focus on her first sabotage steps and hope Diane sinks hard.
Other Y&R spoilers say Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will take her complaints to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
Elena believes Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) is adding fuel to the hostility between Devon and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), so she’ll want to give Devon a heads-up.
Devon may also hear about Imani’s relentless pursuit of Nate and how it’s creating a rift in his romance with Elena.
Nate doesn’t view Imani as a threat, but Elena’s clearly growing more concerned every day!
Devon will have a supportive conversation with Elena before she blows up at Nate later this week.
