The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, August 10 Recap – Summer Doomed to Be Collateral Damage – Imani’s Horrible Advice

the young and the restless spoilers

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 10, teases that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will be doomed to become collateral damage while Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) offers some horrible advice. Let’s discuss what’s coming up on Wednesday’s exciting Y&R episode.

At the ranch, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will arrive looking for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), but she’ll end up chatting with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) instead.

Once talk turns to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) dragging out the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) investigation, Nikki will suggest it’d be better for everyone if he backed off.

At Chancellor-Winters, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will quiz Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) about whether their history might be playing a role in the tension with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). Devon will assure Elena that’s not the case, but he’ll still wonder if it was a mistake to bring Nate on board.

On the Crimson Lights patio, Imani will bump into Nate and note that doesn’t fly out to visit Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) until later tonight. Since Imani will want a distraction, she’ll urge Nate to open up about his latest work issues.

Nate will admit Devon wants to give him a mentor, so Imani will think that’s outrageous since Nate hasn’t even had a chance to prove himself. Imani will then advise Nate to do something big and bold – something to demand attention and respect.

On the GCAC rooftop, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will still be on vocal rest as she hangs out with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).

In a private moment, Mariah will urge Kyle to hire Tessa as a new Marchetti model since she’s feeling down about her stalled music career.

Kyle will want to run it by Summer first, so Mariah will urge him not to say anything until it’s a done deal. When Tessa walks back over, she’ll grow suspicious of what Mariah and Kyle are hiding.

At the coffeehouse again, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will run into Summer and promise that Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) new job won’t be a problem. After Diane starts acting like Phyllis might forgive her and form a bond, Summer will think her mother-in-law’s laying it on thick.

Summer will insist that total forgiveness will be a tall order for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) as well and will warn Diane not to manipulate him. If Diane tries to pull anything with Jack, Summer will insist she’ll have to contend with her.

At Society, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will fail to convince Jack that hiring Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) would be a bad idea. Once Phyllis comes along to talk business with Billy, Jack will head out.

That’ll leave Phyllis to discuss how she wants to accept Lily Winters’s (Christel Khalil) offer for The Grand Phoenix. Billy will get updates on Phyllis working at Marchetti with Diane and will suspect she’s got a plan to hurt her rival.

Phyllis will deny it, but Billy will remain convinced there’s a scheme and will fear Summer’s going to become collateral damage.

Although Phyllis will insist Summer won’t be anywhere near the line of fire, Billy will remain uneasy. There’ll be talk about Adam potentially taking over Kyle’s co-CEO spot and the added drama that could bring.

After Nikki summons Phyllis to the ranch, she’ll admit Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is out of town on business. Nikki will want the details of Phyllis’ sabotage plot and will confess that she doesn’t trust her – mostly because Phyllis might back down at the last minute to protect Summer.

Phyllis will understand that getting Diane out of town is what’s best and will take umbrage. Until Nikki is actually contributing something to this alliance, Phyllis will suggest she should keep her opinions to herself.

Once Summer meets up with Kyle, she’ll fill him in on her latest Diane encounter. Kyle and Summer will realize they’ll have to keep the peace if Diane and Phyllis don’t keep their word.

Back at Crimson Lights, Jack will spot Diane and admit he’s glad he ran into her. After Jack points out the books on grief and loss are really helping Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), he’ll thank Diane for the very thoughtful gift. That’ll leave Diane looking pleased over the progress she’s making with Jack.

At Society again, Abby will catch up with Devon and admit she fears Chance is keeping something from her about the Ashland investigation. Since Abby will assume it’s because her family’s involved, she’ll know that can’t be good news!

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby will get even more tangled up in this mess as time goes on, so stay tuned. CDL’s the place to be for the hottest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news, so make us your one-stop Y&R source.
