The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, December 14 Recap – Lily & Billy Couples Counseling – Jack Wants Phyllis Fired

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, December 14 Recap – Lily & Billy Couples Counseling – Jack Wants Phyllis Fired

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 14, teases that Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will find a distracted Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) at Society, so she’ll offer to listen. Lily will reveal she was thinking about Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and admit things are more than a little bumpy right now.

Traci will suggest an objective third party might help, so Lily will realize she means couples’ counseling.

Although Lily will like the idea, she’ll be unsure of whether Billy will go for it.

Traci will advise Lily not to give up on love and will urge her to convince Billy that he’s got some work to do, too.

At The Glam Club, Billy will run into Daniel Romalotti Jr (Michael Graziadei), so there’ll be some tension as they discuss Daniel’s secret project and Billy’s decision to bail on Chancellor Winters.

Daniel will think it’s almost like Billy abandoned Lily, so Billy will take that as his cue to work on emails in another part of the club.

Before Billy walks off, Daniel will admit his new platform involves helping people find their purpose.

After Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) convinces Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) to join him for a winter picnic outdoors, he’ll keep trying to win her trust back.

Tucker will talk about his accident and how he realized he was missing love in his life – including Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James).

Based on Tucker’s speech about wanting to be involved in Devon’s life both personally and professionally, Ashley will suspect he’s going after Chancellor-Winters.

It’ll leave Ashley thinking Tucker is doing the same thing at Jabot.

Y&R spoilers say Tucker will grumble about everyone assuming his intentions are hostile.

According to Tucker, any agreement he entered with Devon or Ashley would be a mutual one.

Ashley will point out that Tucker will never be welcome at Jabot, so he’ll suggest there are other options – like Ashley leaving the family business to start a new empire.

At the Abbott house, Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) will show off a drawing he made for “DiDi” and wonder when Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is coming back.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will explain that Diane had to take a trip, but he’ll add that she’ll be back soon and will be thinking of Harrison while she’s gone.

Once Harrison asks if “DiDi” will return for Christmas, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will arrange for a comforting phone call from Kyle.

Later, Jack will assure Summer that if Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) doesn’t leave on his own, then he’ll find Jeremy’s Achilles’ heel.

Since Jack has become so protective of Diane, Summer will ask why he can forgive her so easily and not Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) – though she’ll clarify that she remains furious with her mother.

Jack will acknowledge that Diane kept a lot of secrets, but he’ll feel like she’s been stuck playing defense ever since she came back to town. Despite all the attacks, Jack will believe Diane has genuinely tried to reinvent herself.

As for Phyllis, Jack just won’t be able to excuse the same old behavior from her anymore – especially in a situation where she created danger for all of them.

Summer will understand that Jack has to support Kyle’s mom, but she’ll admit part of her always held out hope for Jack and Phyllis’ future. Unfortunately, Summer will think Phyllis is her own worst enemy.

At Crimson Lights, Phyllis will continue to deny calling Jeremy, who’ll admit Diane has something who belongs to him.

Jeremy will insist he’s highly motivated to see Diane and will think Phyllis can help him find her.

Phyllis will assume Jeremy wants to make Diane pay, but he won’t imagine Phyllis has a problem with that since the woman who called him was an ally.

After Phyllis finally admits she indeed called Jeremy, she’ll also confess that she has no proof Diane got him arrested.

Phyllis will insist it was all speculation and apologize for the inconvenience before urging Jeremy to go back to California.

Jeremy will pretend he feels terrible for accusing his old flame and will claim he needs to find Diane to offer an apology.

Phyllis will assure Jeremy that she has no idea where Diane is and will add that nobody is telling her anything.

Once Phyllis says Diane left without her son or grandson, she’ll assume that means Diane is scared.

Jeremy will sarcastically suggest he can’t imagine why. There’ll be a tense vibe as Jeremy tells Phyllis to have a good day and walks out.

At Jabot, Phyllis will corner Jack and Summer to offer updates on what happened with Jeremy.

Phyllis will admit she told Jeremy the truth – that she lured him to Genoa City and that Diane ran scared out of town.

Phyllis will mention that she encouraged Jeremy to go back to California, but she got the feeling he was staying because Diane had something he wanted.

Jack will blast Phyllis for making things worse when he already told her to stay away from Jeremy.

This will be “classic Phyllis” from Jack’s perspective – just Phyllis finally acknowledging the damage she’s done and expecting a pass.

Since Phyllis refused to listen and lied to his face, Jack will reiterate that he’s done with her.

When Phyllis asks if he means as Jack Abbott or as the CEO of Jabot, he’ll snap that it’s both.

Phyllis will wonder if Jack’s firing her, but he’ll note that she reports directly to Summer and Kyle at Marchetti.

That said, Jack will hope Kyle and Summer make the right decision since he’d fire Phyllis right this second if it were up to him.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will then turn to Summer as she awaits her fate, so Summer will have some big news to deliver soon.
