The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, February 16, reveals that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will fire back at Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) while Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) slipup worries Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle). Let’s talk about what’s ahead in Wednesday’s exciting Y&R episode.
In Victoria’s office, she’ll let Victor know she’s already in the loop on Ashland financing the clinic in Peru.
Victoria will hint that maybe Victor should focus on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), who just hired Sally as his COO.
Victor will be outraged since Sally lacks experience – not to mention Adam failed to run the idea by him.
Victor will wonder if Adam is out of his mind and will leave in a hurry.
At Newman Media, Sally will assure Adam she has no regrets about what happened between them.
Sally will just worry they’ve added fuel to the flame of desire and that it’ll be hard to resist each other now.
Sally will also feel like they should nail down exactly what this is.
Sally will want to make sure it was more than a “once-in-a-lifetime event,” so Adam will insist they both know it was more than a casual hookup.
Adam will tell Sally that he wants her, so she’ll be pleased.
That said, Sally won’t be interested in sneaking around and being Adam’s hidden guilty pleasure.
Adam won’t see any reason to keep Sally a secret, but Victor will pop up and insist that he can.
That’ll lead to Victor arguing that sensitive negotiations are going on right now. He won’t want any distractions, so Sally will ask if that’s what Victor thinks she is.
Adam will gripe that Victor’s insult was completely uncalled for and will push Victor to apologize.
However, Victor will pile on more insults instead and call Sally a “dressmaker” who made a meteoric rise to the top.
Victor will trash Sally for all her mistakes, but Adam will rush to her defense.
However, Sally will tell Adam that she’s got this and warn Victor that she won’t keep apologizing for her past.
Sally will believe she can do great things at Newman Media since she’s used to proving people wrong.
After Victor asks to speak with his son alone, he’ll sense that Adam has become quite attached to the dressmaker.
Adam will once again defend Sally, so Victor will decide to let it go – as long as Sally is a team player and proves herself capable.
Victor will then bring up the inconsistencies in Ashland’s cancer treatment. He’ll want Adam to be vigilant and report back if he picks up on any other contradictions.
Adam will realize Victor’s asking him to spy and will worry this is some sort of family loyalty test.
Adam will wonder if he’s supposed to say no and prove he wouldn’t do that to his sister’s husband.
Victor will counter that if Adam loves Victoria and his family, he’ll do what his father tells him.
Once the coast is clear, Adam will assure Sally that she’s still the COO.
Adam will suggest that Victor was impressed with the way Sally stood up to him, even if he’d never admit it.
Adam won’t think Victor’s going to go after Sally since he’s got bigger things on his mind.
At the ranch, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will stop by and express concern about Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Nick won’t want his mom to end up in the crossfire of Adam and Victoria’s war, but Nikki will think she can handle herself.
After Nick says Nikki has kept Victor balanced out over the years, she’ll admit they have something special.
Nikki will acknowledge that not every relationship is meant to last forever. She won’t be disappointed about the end of some of Nick’s previous romances, but she’ll wish him every happiness.
When Victor returns, he’ll be cagey about all the business drama. Nick will worry about Victoria and feel like a larger play is in the works.
At Newman-Locke, Ashland will fret over a text that says the American is still digging around the clinic.
When Ashland finds Victoria in her office, she’ll confess to steering Victor’s attention in Adam’s direction.
Ashland won’t think they can afford to underestimate Adam and will believe a move is indeed coming.
Victoria and Ashland will also talk about how once the merger is final, there’s nothing in the deal that says how long Adam has to stay. They just need due cause for Adam’s dismissal.
Victoria will suggest that instead of waiting for Adam to fail, they should “make damn well sure” it happens.
Ashland will be on board with that plan and will offer to step in as Newman Media’s CEO once Adam’s out.
Ashland will like the idea of running a media group again. He’ll insist he’s used to maintaining a strong hand over everything he controls.
“Everything you control?” Victoria will ask. She’ll seem offended since this company belongs to both of them, but Ashland will play it off like a slip of the tongue.
Victoria will admit that Ashland’s latest confession has made her a bit wary, but he’ll insist they’re in this together.
Ashland won’t want Victor planting seeds of doubt and will contend that Adam is the untrustworthy one.
After Ashland gets a phone call, he’ll decide to step outside to take it.
Ashland will assure Victoria of his love, but she’ll seem uneasy as he exits.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashland will get tangled up in his web of lies soon, so keep watching!
