The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, February 2 Recap – Abby Delays Dominic Custody – Noah Slams Tessa’s Betrayal

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, February 2, reveals that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) custody delay will worry Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) while Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) slams Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) for her betrayal.

At The Grand Phoenix, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will learn Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is leaving later that day on her fact-finding mission to Milan.

Jack will figure that the sooner Phyllis goes, the sooner she’ll get answers about her future.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will spot Jack and Phyllis’ interaction, so he’ll speak with Phyllis alone afterward.

Once Nick gets updates on Phyllis’ opportunity to work with Summer Newman-Abbott (Hunter King), he’ll be surprised since he thought Phyllis and Jack might rekindle things.

That said, Nick will hope Phyllis finds what she’s looking for.

Phyllis will grumble over yet another person who supports her leaving town and will still seem like she’s looking for a reason to stay.

Meanwhile, Jack will seem down in the dumps when Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) finds him for their coffeehouse meeting.

After Billy hears about Phyllis’ job offer in Milan, he’ll realize Jack is upset about the idea of Phyllis moving.

Jack and Billy will talk about what a “beautiful conundrum” is before Jack returns to the hotel lobby with a gift for Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez).

Since Jack forgot to give it to Harrison while he was in Milan, Phyllis will agree to deliver it.

Phyllis will end up jumping in Jack’s arms at one point and begging him to tell her she should stay – to tell her that she’s wanted and needed.

Phyllis will push Jack to tell her they still have a future together like they’re supposed to, but she’ll ultimately snap back to reality.

It turns out Phyllis’ embrace with Jack and her emotional plea will all be a fantasy.

Jack will wonder if Phyllis is OK, so she’ll downplay everything before it’s time to part ways.

Like Nick, Jack will also hope that Phyllis finds what she’s looking for.

This will frustrate Phyllis, but she’ll chicken out of confessing what she really wants Jack to say. After Jack exits, Phyllis will call a car to come pick her up and take her to the airport.

At Society on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Devon will be eager to sign the new shared custody agreement.

Devon will discuss the big day with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) before they bump into Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell).

Christine will be surprised that Devon didn’t get Abby’s message about needing more time.

That’ll leave Devon concerned about the reason for the delay, but Christine won’t know anything more.

Meanwhile, Abby will talk to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) about delaying their meeting with Devon since the reality of what they’re doing really hit her.

It’ll be hard for Abby to know there’ll be days she can’t just see Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) whenever she wants.

Chance will ask if Abby’s having second thoughts, but she’ll stand by her decision and eventually move forward with signing the agreement.

Once Devon receives news about the meeting happening now, he’ll be relieved.

Devon, Amanda and Christine will all head to the Chancellor mansion, where they’ll meet with Abby and Chance.

Abby will also bring Dominic out so he can share in this special occasion, but it’ll be a struggle for her to get through it.

Nevertheless, the shared custody agreement will be signed, so it’ll become official.

Devon will hold Dominic and hope he can get a playlist from Dom’s music class.

Amanda will pipe up that Devon could perhaps attend the class as well, but Devon won’t want to impose.

However, Abby will suggest Devon isn’t an imposition and will offer up the nanny for the days that Dom is at his penthouse.

Devon will think it’d be good to have a familiar face around, so Abby will hope Dominic adjusts to the back and forth easier than they will.

Chance will assure Abby that Dom is a tough little dude and will let Abby grip his hand rather tightly during all this.

Once Chance is alone with Abby, he’ll express how proud he is of her and will think they can turn Dominic’s weekly overnights into their scheduled date nights.

Afterward, Abby will call Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) to confirm that everything went as planned.

Abby will admit that was the hardest thing she’s even had to do, but she’ll know it was the right thing to do.

Once Devon returns to the penthouse, he’ll tell Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) that he signed the agreement with one of Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) pens.

Lily will also show off a design for Dominic’s room, so Devon will love it.

Devon will even want to install a sound system to play the baby’s music class playlist and some jazz lullabies Neil used to like.

Amanda will eventually come home and reveal that she filed the papers with the court, so the agreement is now legit with the state.

After Billy stops by with Champagne to celebrate, Devon will open a gift from Lily and Billy.

Devon will love the memory book and will look forward to documenting Dominic’s milestones in it.

“I can’t wait to fill these pages with my son,” Devon will insist.

At Crimson Lights, Tessa and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will discuss their upcoming meeting with the adoption attorney to get the ball rolling.

When Mariah mentions that Noah hasn’t texted her back, she’ll pick up on Tessa’s strange reaction.

Mariah will remind Tessa that they don’t keep secrets anymore, so Tessa will come clean about Noah drinking alone and revealing that he still had feelings for her. Tessa will insist that Noah apologized and said he was truly happy for them.

After Mariah processes all that, she’ll know Noah doesn’t have a malicious bone in his body and will feel sorry for him.

Mariah will think maybe Noah fixated on Tessa because she was unattainable, so Tessa will confirm her commitment to Mariah and will talk about how they’re inevitable.

As Tessa and Mariah clasp hands in a tender moment, Noah will walk in and witness it.

Noah will chat with Mariah and Tessa briefly, so that’ll lead to some playful sibling banter between Mariah and her brother.

Once Noah walks off to meet with Nick in a booth nearby, Tessa will think that went surprisingly well.

After Noah goes over some New Hope details with Nick, he’ll dodge Tessa-related questions.

Noah will wonder if he can get Tessa and Mariah something from behind the counter, so Tessa will step over with him to speak privately.

Noah will admit he’s picking up a weird vibe and will get Tessa to confess she told Mariah what happened.

Noah will ask what possessed Tessa to do that and will act like Tessa misunderstood. Noah will remind Tessa that they agreed to just move on.

Tessa will argue that she had to tell Mariah what went down since secrets have caused problems for them in the past.

Tessa will refuse to jeopardize her relationship with Mariah again, especially now that they’re getting married.

Noah will contend that he’s not a threat to Mariah and Tessa’s relationship, so Tessa will assure Noah that she knows.

Tessa will note that Mariah understands and will think this too shall pass.

Tessa will want Noah to remain part of their family’s future as an uncle and will think that the perfect woman is still out there for him.

Even so, Noah will seem glum.

After Mariah and Tessa head off to meet with the adoption attorney, Noah will pretend to get a message from a buddy wanting to hang out. He’ll use it as an excuse to bail on Nick and dodge more questions.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Noah’s heartache will get worse before it gets better, so stay tuned to Y&R.
