The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, January 5, tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) news will rock Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) while Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) helps Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd). Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) will also get the opportunity for a fresh start, so let’s talk about what’s ahead on Wednesday’s Y&R episode.
At Devon’s penthouse, he’ll continue to dwell on all the baby drama and hate the toll it’s taking on his relationship with Abby.
As Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) offers support, she’ll remain confident that pushing for more time with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) is the right call.
When Abby suddenly shows up at the penthouse, Amanda will make herself scarce so that they can talk things out.
Abby will apologize for blowing up at Devon since deep down, she knows his heart is in the right place.
Abby will be sorry for making accusations and getting all defensive at the coffeehouse, but Devon will understand this is a sensitive subject. He’ll also offer an apology for springing this on Chance and Abby out of the blue.
Devon may take some of the blame for not presenting his request in the right way and will truly hope they can stay friends.
Abby will also want to keep their friendship intact, but she’ll admit there’ll be no custody agreement change. She’ll hope Devon can accept that they’re not willing to give him any official visitation rights.
However, Devon is pretty stuck on the shared custody idea and will start mulling over ways to fight back with Amanda’s help.
Devon will feel like he’s being shut out despite Abby’s reassurance that he can still be in the picture.
Meanwhile, Chance will seek assistance from Rey – most likely over all this custody business.
It looks like Chance will sense that things are spinning out and hope that Rey has some advice about keeping the peace.
Chance might also open up to Rey about some of his personal trauma and how it’s affecting his ability to bond with Dominic.
Chance will be having a rough time, so Rey will do whatever he can to help.
At Society, Noah will catch up with Nick and hint about feeling rather restless. He’ll still be struggling with heartache and looking for a new beginning, so Nick will offer one in the form of a new job.
Noah will have to figure out whether he’s willing to ditch Newman Media for New Hope or if perhaps he can tackle working for both.
