The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, September 21 Recap – Deacon Reveals Rich Diane Clues – Nate’s Mole Work Begins

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 21, reveals that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) will reveal some rich Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) clues while Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) mole work begins at Chancellor-Winters.

In Los Angeles on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Deacon will be surprised when Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) opens the door.

Nikki will admit she messaged Deacon anonymously since she wasn’t sure he’d meet with her otherwise.

However, Deacon will act happy to see Nikki after all this time and will insist she looks good.

Nikki won’t be interested in flattery and will chew Deacon out for helping Diane fake her death.

Deacon will eventually realize this meeting is about seeking revenge on Diane – and if he cooperates, then Nikki won’t retaliate against him.

Unfortunately, Deacon won’t feel like he has much to offer, though he’ll admit he saw Diane a couple times when she was living her new life as Taylor Jensen.

The only thing that stood out was Diane seemingly had a lot of money since she was always buzzing around in a Bentley.

Nikki will realize that doesn’t line up with Diane’s story about living a modest life on tiny commissions as a real estate agent.

Deacon will admit he assumed Diane was dating a rich guy since there was always some man in the backseat, but Diane shut down any questions.

Nikki will consider the possibility that Diane was seeing a wealthy man or fell into some money either legally or illegally.

Although Nikki will want more, she’ll be ready to throw Deacon out when he can’t offer additional info.

Something will eventually occur to Deacon – though he’ll claim he’ll have to show Nikki at the restaurant where he works.

Nikki will refuse to be lured to Deacon’s place of employment, but he’ll urge her to come see what he has and then she can forget he exists.

After Nikki offers Talia Morgan (Natalie Morales) updates later, Talia will think it might be worth meeting Deacon one more time in case he really has something useful.

Back in Genoa City, Diane will approach Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and try to play nice right as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) appears.

Phyllis will point out that Victor sees through Diane just like she does and will wish her luck.

Once Phyllis leaves with takeout, Diane will seem uneasy about Nikki’s trip to LA – though she’ll try to play it cool and insist she’s no threat to Victor’s family.

Victor will hint about repercussions anyway, so Diane will get upset and refuse to let anyone tear down all her hard work.

At Jabot, Phyllis will run into Diane and push her buttons until Diane lashes out. Diane will warn that if Phyllis keeps pushing her, she’ll regret it.

Phyllis will act like the real Diane – the Diane she knows and hates – is finally coming out.

As far as Phyllis is concerned, this will be the beginning of the end for her rival.

In the park, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will meet with Nate and insist she’s interested in buying up as many Chancellor-Winters shares as possible to help her obtain a majority stake in the company.

That said, Victoria will assume that Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) were savvy enough to make sure the family retained the bulk of the stock.

That’ll leave Victoria with concerns about not being able to have the level of involvement she wants.

Nate will assure Victoria that he’s willing to sell her his shares – and once she combines those with what she purchases on the stock exchange, she’ll be the majority stakeholder.

This will be a huge risk on Nate’s part, but he’ll be willing to take it if he gets what he wants in return.

Victoria will make sure Nate can smooth things over at Chancellor-Winters and have the same level of access until the transition happens.

After Victoria confirms Nate can take over the company once it’s under the Newman umbrella, they’ll shake on the deal.

At Chancellor-Winters, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will email Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) the numbers in hopes of making the IPO decision unanimous.

Devon will remain reluctant to give up so much control and make such a major move so soon after the merger.

Once Nate arrives, he’ll give a speech about how he was wrong and Devon was right.

Nate will claim he’d been doing some reflecting and now understands that he needs to pay his dues as well as respect the hierarchy.

Nate will also note that he regrets resigning in anger and is now asking for another chance.

Devon will be skeptical of this sudden change in his cousin, but Nate will assure Devon that he’s the boss.

Nate will want to be met halfway and make sure his ideas are listened to, but he’ll act like he gets that Devon is in charge.

Devon will warn that the back and forth has to stop, but he’ll be willing to give this another try. Lily will clearly be thrilled to have Nate back on the team.

After Victoria clashes with Phyllis about Nikki’s trip and whether it was a good idea, she’ll return to the office.

Victoria will be cagey about what she has in the works since she won’t be ready to reveal it to Victor yet.

Once Victoria expresses her fears over Nikki’s Deacon meeting, Victor will offer reassurance since he sent his security team.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nikki could score something explosive thanks to this Deacon visit, so stay tuned!
