The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, September 7 Recap – Chance Helps Drunk Chelsea – Jack’s Truth Bomb Enrages Billy

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 7, teases that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will help drunk Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) while Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) truth bomb enrages Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

At Crimson Lights, Jack will steer Billy away from a discussion about his decision to hire Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). After Jack gets updates on Billy stepping away from the podcasts and focusing on his COO role, he’ll point out that Billy isn’t well-suited to corporate life.

Jack will worry about history repeating itself and will wonder if this COO position is really Billy’s dream job. Billy will suggest that being a professional gambler is his dream career since he’ll assume that’s what Jack wants to hear.

Although Billy will act like he’s trying to break the cycle of the past, Jack will note that Billy himself said he was restless on the podcast. Billy will argue about whether Jack has more faith in Adam than his brother and will resent this armchair analysis that Jack’s trying to do.

After Jack implies Billy wouldn’t be this angry if none of what he said was true, Billy will simply walk out on him.

At Society, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will offer Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) a drink while she waits for takeout. Chloe will mention how she hopes Chance and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) can work past the tension, so Abby will seem curious and concerned.

Talk will turn to Adam and how he wreaks havoc on all his exes, including Chelsea and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). However, Abby won’t have any sympathy for Sally since she knew the risks and deserves what she gets for sliding into bed with Adam.

Back at the coffeehouse, Sally will catch Chance before he leaves and act like they’re kindred spirits since they toed the line with the Newmans. Chance won’t see it that way and will contend that he made his decision based on the facts of the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) case.

At the park, Adam will shut down Chelsea’s trip to Minnesota with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) since school is starting soon. Chelsea will rant about her emotional issues and act like she needs this reset, but Adam will warn that Connor is a kid, not a life-preserver.

Furthermore, Adam will think Chelsea needs therapy instead of just a visit to see her mom. Chelsea will be sick of Adam talking down to her and will ultimately shout that if it weren’t for Connor, she wishes she never would’ve met him.

Sally will witness the end of that argument just before Chelsea stomps off. Once Adam explains the Connor situation, Sally will surprise him by seeing Chelsea’s side on some level.

Later, Sally will fill Chloe in on the tense moment she saw and will surprise her with Chelsea sympathy as well.

After Sally reflects on not having a significant other or family, she’ll guess she should count herself lucky that she didn’t end up screaming in the park that she wished she never met Adam. Meanwhile, Adam will eavesdrop on Sally from outside the door.

At Society again, Y&R spoilers say Chelsea will sit down at the bar for a drink. When Abby wonders if Chelsea is OK, Chelsea will admit she isn’t and hasn’t been OK since Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) died.

After Chelsea has an outburst about all the amateur therapists in town, she’ll insist she really needs everybody to shut up. Chelsea will eventually calm down and apologize for unloading on Abby since she genuinely cares.

Once Chelsea orders another drink, it’ll become obvious to Abby that she’s having too many on an empty stomach. Abby will fear that Chelsea would be offended if she called her a cab, so she’ll ask Chance to turn on the charm and offer a ride instead.

When tipsy Chelsea sees Chance, she’ll smile and tell Abby how he was her personal guru the other day. Although Chelsea will initially turn down the ride home, she’ll stumble a bit and decide to accept it after all.

Chance will steady Chelsea as they head out to his car, but she’ll have sobered up by the time they make it back to her hotel suite. Chelsea will get assurance that she can be herself and trust Chance, so she’ll appreciate that along with the ride.

Although Chelsea won’t really think of this hotel as home, Chance will suggest that any place can feel like home with your kids around. Chelsea will grin as she suggests that Chance really is her superhero guru, so he’ll smile back in response.

As other Y&R news emerges, we’ll keep you posted. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea and Chance’s connection could head into dangerous territory, so stay tuned! CDL’s where you want to be for exciting Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news, so visit us frequently.
