The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of April 18-22 teases that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will face a love snag while Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) life changes forever. Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) will also face a bold move, so let’s discuss what Y&R fans can look forward to.
At The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will have another fierce faceoff with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and warn that she shouldn’t get too comfortable there.
Phyllis won’t think Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is going to respond well to Diane’s attempt to reunite.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will talk to Kyle over the phone and confirm that he’s indeed bringing Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) for a trip home soon.
Although Jack will hope to get Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) in on the family bonding, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will advise against it.
In the end, Jack will concede that Traci’s right since all this Diane drama is more than enough to deal with right now.
Jack will hope to bring Allie into a less volatile situation down the road and choose to concentrate on how he’ll break Diane’s survival news to Kyle.
Jack will be furious when he realizes Diane is already in town, so he’ll confront her and hope to prevent Kyle from seeing her before the bomb drops.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will assure Jack that she can handle keeping Diane at a distance, so we’ll see if she’s able to keep her word!
In Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) office, she’ll find out that Ashland has signed the $500 million deal.
That’ll give Victoria the greenlight to blast Ashland and explain that she was never going to build a new empire or anything else with him.
Once Ashland is pressured into it, he’ll confess to his cancer scam and acknowledge that it was despicable.
The old Ashland was proud of himself for duping Victoria, but the new one will stand before her declaring his love and insisting that his desires changed along the way.
Victoria will remain distraught over loving a man who could inflict this much damage.
It’ll be hard for Victoria to release Ashland’s grip on her heart, but she won’t see how they could ever fix what’s broken at this point.
Meanwhile, Sally will inadvertently say a little more than she intends to. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be caught off guard when Sally admits to falling in love with him, but Adam won’t mind hearing it.
In fact, Adam will hint that he’s falling in love with Sally as well – even if he doesn’t use those exact words to reveal it.
However, Adam will find a reason to spend time with his former flame before the week’s over.
Chelsea could prove to be a bit of a snag in Sally’s love story if she becomes competition for Adam’s heart again.
Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will land in a car accident when his vehicle either crashes into Victoria’s or swerves to avoid it.
Either way, Rey’s going to be in bad shape in the aftermath.
Sharon will no doubt think back to when she lost Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) as she awaits updates on Rey’s condition.
A deadly outcome appears to be brewing for Rey eventually, but what’ll happen on Victoria’s end?
Ashland will make a bold move that surprises Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), so we’ll see if maybe he saves Victoria from the wreck.
If Victoria’s car is perhaps about to catch on fire, Ashland may have to leap into action and save her life.
Victoria will struggle to find a sense of normalcy following this accident – and Chelsea will need Adam to lean on over Rey’s botched Chicago trip, too.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will surely reach out to Sharon at some point, so the car crash mayhem will affect a great deal of the canvas.
Back with Victor, he’ll give Ashland a stern warning. Ashland got $500 million to leave the company and Victoria behind, so Victor will expect him to get lost!
Any heroic efforts won’t be enough to convince Victor that Ashland belongs with Victoria or around their family.
