The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of August 1-5 tease that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will go too far while Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) faces a new threat. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will also spill to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), so here’s what fans can expect.
For starters, Devon will push Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to his breaking point at Chancellor-Winters.
Nate and Devon have been butting heads for a while now, but the tension is really about to boil over.
Devon will push one button too many and send Nate flying into a rage.
Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) could easily use this opportunity to stir the pot even further and make herself the one Nate vents to later.
Meanwhile, Devon will think Nate’s the one who needs to stay in line and start being more of a team player.
We may see Devon complain to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) or perhaps Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) as the situation keeps getting worse.
Elsewhere, a new Diane threat will be brewing.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) wants a job at Marchetti so she can sabotage Diane from the inside, but she’ll keep her true motives under wraps.
Once Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) pitches Phyllis’ idea to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), will he go for it?
If Kyle indeed agrees to hire Phyllis, it could set Diane up for even more problems.
Regardless, Phyllis has no intention of giving up on her goal of getting Diane out of town.
With Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) in her corner, Phyllis will continue to strategize against Diane.
As for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), she seems poised to focus on Newman Media instead of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) – or at least she’ll try to.
Sally and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will throw themselves into making their 90-day trial period a success.
Other Y&R spoilers say Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will keep adding to his cover-up.
Victor clearly had his security team take charge of the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) situation and place his car in that ravine with him in it.
However, Victor will make some other shady moves to make sure that secret isn’t exposed.
It won’t be an easy task since Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) investigation will heat up and potentially bring some unexpected snags for Victor.
Next, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will rely on his charm.
There’ll be some situation where Nick apparently has to schmooze and be the most appealing version of himself.
Of course, Nick will still be fretting over Ashland’s fate and how Victor might’ve handled the situation behind his back.
This will remain a Newman family crisis – one that Victoria will dwell on, too.
Victoria will confide in Billy, who’ll no doubt console her and express gratitude that Ashland is finally gone.
Billy should get updates on what went down at Victoria’s house, though she doesn’t have the whole story at this point.
Nevertheless, Victoria will spill what happened from her perspective and get Billy’s support.
