The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of August 1-5 teases that Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) confession will stun Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) while Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) fears a total Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) disaster.
For starters, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will balk when Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) suggests he might need a mentor.
After Nate makes the mistake of double-booking a festival performer, Devon will grow tired of cleaning up messes – especially since he can’t supervise Nate all the time.
That’s why Devon will mention this mentor idea, but Nate won’t want a babysitter.
From Nate’s perspective, it’ll seem like Devon’s treating him like some intern. Nate won’t think he needs supervision like some kid who’s fresh out of school.
Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will spot Nate and Devon’s latest confrontation and grow concerned, but Nate will choose to leave her out of it.
However, you can bet Devon and Nate will continue to push each other’s buttons – particularly if Nate makes any other major blunders.
Other Y&R spoilers say Ashley will get updates on Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) new plan.
At their next meeting, Phyllis and Nikki will explain their latest tactic since the search in LA has turned up nothing bad about Diane so far.
If they want dirt on Diane, they’ll have to create that dirt themselves.
Phyllis will explain how she intends to secure a new Marchetti position and sabotage Diane through an inside job – in other words Phyllis intends to frame Diane.
Ashley will immediately pump the brakes since there are so many ways this could go wrong.
The goal is to make Diane seem like she’s out to destroy the company.
Of course, that could become a problem if they actually damage Marchetti and Jabot’s reputations by mistake.
Ashley will think back to the days of Gloria Fisher-Baldwell (Judith Chapman) and all the tainted face cream drama, so she’ll definitely be cautious.
Nevertheless, Phyllis and Nikki will eventually sell Ashley on the plot, so they’ll move forward – and everyone will have an important job to do.
At Crimson Lights, Kevin will feel like he’s missed something.
Perhaps Kevin will assume the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) case is closed since the guy seems to have committed suicide.
It’ll be Chance who contends that it may not be that simple.
Chance will note that Locke’s death may be more complicated than they first thought, so he’ll get Kevin’s help as they investigate a troubling clue.
Since Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) orchestrated a cover-up and had his men put Ashland’s car in that ravine, Chance and Kevin’s suspicions could lead to major issues.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say some action-packed episodes are on the way, so stay tuned.
