The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of August 22-26 teases that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will threaten Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) while Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) move worries Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will also make an important deal, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
For starters, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will do some reminiscing with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) as they remain grateful for their bond.
Billy will also help Victoria free herself from lingering memories of Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and try to find a path forward.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will help Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) cope with his own guilt over Ashland’s death.
Nick will also have to make peace with Victor’s cover-up, even if he still resents the way his father handles things.
Over with Adam, he’ll demand answers about the staged accident and how Victor got Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) to go along with the lie.
Victor will remain vague about all this and grow tired of Adam’s pestering.
However, Adam will deliver a warning before he walks away.
Although Victor will seem smug about getting away with his actions, Adam will suggest there’s always another shoe just waiting to drop.
Once Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) gets updates on Chance concluding his investigation, she’ll be relieved.
Chance will end up snapping at Abby for acting like he did the right thing, so she’ll apologize and try to understand his point of view.
Later, Adam will meet with Lucas (Aaron Schwartz), a mysterious new guy who’ll prove crucial in a scheme.
It looks like Adam will swipe evidence from Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart), so he may rely on Lucas for hacker help.
Regardless, Kevin will fume over an Adam-related discovery and confront him in his hotel suite.
Speaking of the hotel, the sale of The Grand Phoenix may move full-speed ahead. Phyllis will make a power play when she closes a significant deal.
Next, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will force Billy to choose one career path.
Billy can’t properly juggle the COO position with being a successful podcaster, so he needs to settle on which job he wants.
After Billy decides to stick to being COO, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will object.
Since Chelsea knows these podcasts bring out the fire in Billy, she won’t want to see that fizzle out.
Billy will offer Chelsea the chance to host a podcast on her own, but she’ll think the magic was in working together.
Y&R spoilers say Chelsea will ultimately lean in and kiss Billy, but his reaction should be a mixed bag.
Although Billy will shut the kiss down and perhaps insist it can’t happen again, he may be flustered enough that Chelsea takes it as a spark.
Chelsea will think she’s got a special bond with Billy, but he won’t want to throw away what he shares with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
Next, Victoria will decide to retaliate against someone, so that could be Adam if he tries to use stolen Ashland proof to his advantage.
At Jabot, Kyle will see an unsettling sight when he catches Adam and Jack shaking hands.
That implies a deal will be made, so Adam may accept the co-CEO spot and leave Kyle worrying this is a bad call.
Jack will get Kyle’s warning later, but he may assure his son that he knows what he’s doing.
As for Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), he’ll think he’s got everything under control, too.
Nate will land in a situation where he takes all the spotlight, so Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) may call him out – especially if this plan goes wrong.
