The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of August 29-September 2 teases that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will grill Talia Morgan (Natalie Morales) about her exposé while Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) shuts down Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) plan.
For starters, Victoria will think maybe she can use Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) proposition against him.
Instead of having Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) run the story Adam wants, Victoria will pitch another idea – one that would protect both Nick and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
However, Nick will insist he doesn’t need protecting and will point out that’s what got them into this mess in the first place.
Since Victoria will be acting just like Victor, Nick will suggest he’s starting to understand Adam.
It’s clear that Nick’s guilt will weigh on him, so he may get sick of this Newman mentality that there should never be any consequences.
Adam is pushing for the cover-up truth to come out, so part of Nick will feel like his brother is right – even if his motives aren’t pure.
In the meantime, Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will do some commiserating in the park.
It looks like Chelsea and Adam will both confess their latest setbacks, so they’ll be able to lean on each other in their mutual time of need.
As for Diane, she’ll catch on when it comes to Talia and her agenda. Diane will apparently get a whiff of what Talia is up to before she spots her at Society.
That’s where Diane will approach Talia, who’ll eventually realize she’s talking to the subject of her latest exposé.
You can bet Diane will quiz Talia about her investigation and what she hopes to accomplish.
Of course, Diane may act like Talia is wasting her time if she wants a scandal.
Perhaps Diane will even argue that Talia’s readers would much rather hear a heartwarming story of triumph and redemption.
That’s the story Diane feels like she’s living, so she may urge Talia to change the narrative.
Naturally, if Talia wants to scrap the story entirely and just head home, that’ll be just fine with Diane as well!
The problem is Talia will think she’s got a hit on her hands and probably won’t back down until she’s published something juicy.
Nevertheless, Diane will at least know what she’s up against, so that could work in her favor.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane will work hard to keep her new life on track, but her enemies won’t make it easy!
