The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of February 21-25 teases that Keemo Abbott (last played by Philip Moon) may be behind the cryptic messages. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will suspect his son’s LA surprise, so let’s talk about what’s ahead.
After Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) does some sleuthing, she’ll come up with a lead on who sent Jack those strange texts.
Phyllis won’t really be able to make sense of it, but Jack will put some puzzle pieces together and realize there could be a Keemo connection.
Longtime Y&R fans will remember that Jack had a romance with Luan Volien (Elizabeth Sung) in Vietnam, which led to him fathering her child.
Jack didn’t find out about Keemo’s existence until many years later – and even after he did, the show pretty much let Keemo fade into oblivion.
Fortunately, it looks like they’re bringing Keemo back into the story.
Keemo apparently wants Jack to come to LA for something he’s been missing, and we know this mystery will lead to some shockers.
Maybe Keemo has a daughter for Jack to meet – meaning Jack’s granddaughter is what he’s been missing.
There have been some insider rumblings that could point in that direction.
Of course, Jack will have to decide if he even wants to take this trip first.
Phyllis and Jack will talk to Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) about their suspicions, so she’ll be floored over Keemo’s potential involvement.
Traci will also deliver a warning, so she may worry Keemo resents Jack for not forming a real bond with him.
Traci might fear this is about opening old wounds and advise Jack to proceed with caution.
However, we’re not getting a dark vibe from the spoilers or even the hints on screen.
The show is playing this up as something intriguing instead – and it should lead to some amazing things that Jack truly didn’t realize he was missing in his life.
In the meantime, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will go after Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) desired hire.
Since Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is at least considering the idea of moving into the business arena, Lily will suggest he should come to work for her at Chancellor Industries instead.
While Nate mulls over that opportunity, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will continue to feel like a failure.
Chance will contend that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) once again saved Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) when he couldn’t.
Devon will feel like Chance will find his own father-son connection with Dominic in time.
What matters now is that Devon is a perfect bone marrow donor match and that Dominic’s hopefully going to be OK.
Chance will definitely be grateful, but he’ll still feel useless compared to Devon.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance will begin his therapy journey in the coming episodes, so he’ll get help for all the self-doubt and trauma he’s dealing with.
