The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of January 17-21 teases that Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will propose to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) while Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) threatens Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle).
For starters, let’s talk about Tessa’s bold move and Mariah’s stunned reaction. Marriage is certainly something they’ve talked about before, but Mariah still won’t see Tessa’s proposal coming.
After a special night where Tessa pulls out all the stops, she’ll get down on one knee at Society.
“Are you doing what I think you’re doing?” Mariah will ask in shock. Tessa will grin as she looks up at Mariah and moves forward with popping the question.
It won’t be long until Tessa and Mariah take another step toward building a bright future together – though it should serve as another tough reminder for Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) that his ex has moved on with his sister.
Over with Adam, he’ll have a tense conversation with Victoria and Ashland at Crimson Lights.
Victoria will warn that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may not always have Adam’s back, but Adam will respond with a troubling warning.
Adam won’t think Victoria should get too confident that he’ll always have her back…or Ashland’s.
It looks like Adam may plot Ashland’s takedown, so that could be linked to his upcoming deal with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Regardless, Ashland has some buried secrets, so Adam could easily expose them and make Victoria suffer in the process.
Victoria may push Adam over the edge with her latest power play for Newman Media and live to regret it!
Next, tensions will be running high for Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
Abby will feel like by going after shared custody in court, Devon is saying they aren’t capable of being good parents to Dominic.
Devon will contend that he’s concerned about Chance’s psychological state and how that might affect Dom.
Of course, Y&R spoilers say this is only going to add to Chance’s insecurities and all the pressure he’s facing as a new dad.
Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will inevitably pipe up and try to play peacemaker, but there’s no chance of peace with a custody battle erupting.
Abby will probably warn Devon to get ready and plan to fight him with everything she’s got, but part of Chance may fear that Devon is right to worry.
