The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Week of January 3 Update – Ashland Suspects Victoria & Billy - Elena Shuts Down Imani

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of January 3-7 teases that Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) dangerous next level will cause concern while Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) tells Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) no agreement change.

First, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will have a dreamy anniversary dinner, which Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will reluctantly join once she’s asked.

However, Chelsea will ultimately feel like she’s cramping Rey and Sharon’s style, so she’ll make herself scarce.

Y&R fans will see Chelsea battle some heartbreak after Adam makes it clear they can’t get back together, but the worst part will be when she sees him ringing in the new year with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).

Chelsea will have a confrontation with Sally later, which will be about work on the surface – though their rivalry over Adam will be the true source of tension.

Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will stop the war that breaks out and warn Adam to remove himself from this love triangle before things really get out of hand!

Over with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle), they won’t be on the same page about the next phase of Billy’s plan.

Victoria won’t particularly care what Lily thinks since she’s holding all the cards. She’ll warn Lily and Billy to play by her rules or else, but Billy may actually jump at the chance to use Victoria’s gutsy strategy.

Billy will take his biggest gamble yet as he tries to flip things around on Adam and make him the one stuck in a trap.

It looks like Billy will make some exciting progress, but will a chat with Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) make him see how obsessed he’s become?

Traci will offer some words of wisdom that affect Billy, but we’ll see if she influences him enough to make him change his game.

Chelsea will play a dangerous game of her own when she targets Sally and hopes to gain the upper hand in the fight for Adam’s heart.

As for Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), he’ll want to get to the bottom of why Victoria’s so determined to be part of Billy and Lily’s scheme.

Ashland will feel some jealousy as he might suspect that deep down, Victoria wants to stay connected to Billy and run his life.

After Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) admits to feeling like a father failure, Abby will know what she has to do.

Abby will visit Devon and start by apologizing for her recent outburst. Abby will get that Devon’s coming from a place of love and will praise him for that.

Even so, Abby will decline to make any official changes to their legal agreement.

Abby will stand by her assurance that Devon will be in Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River Ware) life and may reiterate that Devon’s welcome at the Chancellor mansion anytime.

Abby just won’t be down for sharing custody with Devon, so she’ll make it clear that Dominic already has a father – and it’s Chance, not Devon.

Abby will be less concerned with biology and more concerned with the sperm donor agreement that Devon already signed.

Devon will be hurt over Abby’s firm stance, but he’ll take one right back with Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) help.

They’ll start considering what Devon’s options are if he wants to sue for custody rights – and Amanda just might have a loophole to exploit since Abby arranged all this while Chance was away on his mission.

Amanda will also have some guidance for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who’ll no doubt have Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) on her mind.

We’ll see Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) run into some problems as they start cohabitating as well.

Elena will struggle to balance her professional relationship with Nate with her personal one.

It won’t help when Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) pokes her nose where it doesn’t belong and perhaps makes a play for Nate.

Elena will put Imani in her place, but she may fear more romantic trouble is brewing.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say the drama’s about to rev up for multiple couples, so stay tuned.
