The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Week of January 31 Update – Rey’s Troubling News – Tessa Confesses – Abby’s Dilemma

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of January 31-February 4 teases that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will face a troubling shocker – and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will confess to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will also face a tough dilemma, so let’s talk about what’s ahead on Y&R.

First, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will land in a tight spot when Abby asks her about Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and whether he might need therapy.

Sharon won’t feel like she can assess Chance’s mental state without him in the room with them.

Although Abby will insist that Chance needs help, Sharon will feel like the encouragement has to keep coming from Abby until Chance is ready to talk to someone else.

Therapy will be pointless if Chance doesn’t want to use it to his advantage.

Chance’s behavior will prove unsettling to Rey as well. When Chance suddenly wants to come back to the GCPD, Rey just won’t think he’s ready.

Rey won’t feel like Chance has dealt with his issues enough to tackle a job that’s dangerous and often traumatic – much like the dangerous, traumatic ordeal Chance faced in Spain.

There’s the potential for Chance to have an emotional breakdown on the job if he’s not careful.

Over with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), he’ll make sure there’s no residual tension following his little tiff with Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland).

Traci and Billy had a minor disagreement the last time they talked, but they were able to patch things up with Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) help.

Even so, Billy will want to be certain his relationship with Traci is back on track – and everything should be fine once they catch up.

Traci will continue to believe Lily is a great influence on Billy and will love to see him thriving as the COO of Chancellor Industries.

Billy will keep acting like he feels good about this whole arrangement, but issues could start to bubble up before you know it.

Speaking of issues, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will have some big ones thanks to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) locking in the sale of Newman Media without his knowledge.

After Victor hands down an ultimatum, Adam will have to decide whether he’ll suffer under Victoria Newman-Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) leadership or walk away.

It’ll be Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) who urges Adam to stick around and perhaps finagle his way to even more power.

Unfortunately, Sally could have less power than ever thanks to Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) upcoming move.

Chelsea will force Sally into an unfortunate situation and shock her in the process.

Sally’s role at Newman Fashion could be in jeopardy, but Adam will become her rescuer one way or another.

Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will be pleased when Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) moves past the awkwardness and carves out some time for him.

That’ll give Phyllis a chance to seek guidance on this Marchetti offer, but we all know Jack would love for Phyllis to stay in Genoa City.

Even so, Jack may argue that Phyllis has to follow her heart – though if she really did that, she’d be a couple with Jack again!

Phyllis and Jack should reunite down the road, but let’s talk about Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) until then.

Suspicions will rev up about Ashland’s medical condition since it looks like he’s been faking it the entire time.

While Victor pressures Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) to dig deep for the answers they need, Mariah and Tessa will gear up for their engagement bash.

They’ll plan on having a listening party for Tessa’s new album at the coffeehouse, but Mariah may sense that Tessa seems a little off.

Tessa will eventually make a confession, so it sounds like she’ll admit Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) is hung up on her.

Of course, this is a one-sided thing that’s coming from Noah alone, so it’s making Tessa uneasy.

Tessa won’t want to cause family drama, but she’ll apparently decide Mariah should at least know what’s going on.

Later, Mariah and Tessa will dance together at their engagement gathering – leaving Noah to mope in the corner as Sharon watches.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) knows his son is struggling and will see the signs of it once again, so he’ll step up to help Noah cope. Unfortunately, Noah’s heartache may get worse before it gets better.

Back with Abby, she’ll need to find a solution she can agree on with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).

There’ll be a bit of a debate over Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) and what’s best for him, but Devon and Abby will try to keep working as a team.

Abby and Chance will try to rise to a parenting challenge before the week’s over, so there’ll be some interesting Dom developments.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say some Genoa City surprises are looming, so stay tuned!
