The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of May 2-6 teases that we’ll see an Abbott meeting crasher while Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) wrath is unleashed. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will also comfort Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) as they strengthen their bond, so let’s discuss what’s in store.
First, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will freak when Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) considers the unfathomable – that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) might truly be a changed woman!
Phyllis won’t buy it and will lash out when Jack tries to compare her own past to Diane’s.
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will let Diane explain herself, but he’ll still struggle to understand how she could let him believe she was dead.
Diane will hope for forgiveness and a spot in Kyle’s life, but he won’t be ready to commit to anything.
Later, Kyle will visit Diane once he’s had a chance to process everything.
Kyle may admit he believes Diane is sincere about evolving, but it’ll still be a risk to let Diane back into his world.
Diane will beg Kyle for another chance and will vow not to let him down this time.
Diane will remind Kyle of her deep love for him and hope that he’ll come around on the idea of having a real relationship.
However, Kyle may drag his feet and leave Diane feeling rather tortured while she waits.
Diane’s history will haunt her, so she may struggle with some bad memories while Kyle wrestles with his next move.
Later, the Abbotts will gather for a family meeting – one that’ll be interrupted by someone unexpected.
Based on some other upcoming spoilers, it looks like Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) will suddenly take Jack up on his offer to visit Genoa City and meet all her new family members.
Although Allie may technically crash this gathering, Y&R fans know Jack will insist she’s welcome anytime.
This should give Allie a chance to get to know everyone – and Diane may score some help winning Kyle over since Allie has proven to be a bit of an ally.
After Adam and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) come up with a new plan, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will throw it right out the window with an announcement.
Victoria will strip Adam of his temporary CEO title since she’ll be reclaiming the co-CEO seat with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) by her side.
Nikki will replace Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) as Victoria’s co-CEO and leave Adam livid, but there won’t be anything he can do.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will give Victoria his blessing and push for peace, but Adam will feel insulted and betrayed.
We’ll even see Adam consider disowning his family and just keeping his distance from now on.
Adam will be tempted to cut ties completely, but Sally may convince Adam that he’s got some fight left in him!
Victor will also put Diane on notice as he works to protect Nikki and the rest of his loved ones from their old foe.
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will want to save Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) from making a mistake as well, so she’ll make demands and hope she can convince Billy to stay out of the Ashland dilemma.
However, Billy will feel the need to connect with Victoria after her car accident.
Victoria will find out Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) cause of death was a heart attack at some point, so that should ease her guilt.
Although Billy may admit he’s glad Ashland was able to pull Victoria out of that burning car, it doesn’t excuse all the lies and manipulative games that came before.
Billy will wonder if Ashland is still in the picture, so Victoria may admit she’s doing her best to let go.
Nevertheless, Ashland isn’t making that easy since he desperately wants to reunite for a fresh start.
Y&R spoilers say Ashland will have a major admission to make when he crosses paths with Jack.
That could involve the phony cancer crisis and the deal Ashland struck – which meant signing away his part of Newman-Locke and agreeing to annul his marriage.
Jack will reel over what Ashland confesses, but Ashland will hope that Victoria will follow her heart and know that his love is real.
Ashland will want Victoria to think of him as the man who saved her life and not the man who destroyed it first.
Billy will score a victory later, so we’ll see if that involves Ashland or perhaps his podcast project.
Since Billy will have a reason to celebrate, maybe both of his podcasts will do big numbers.
As for Nick, he’ll sense that Sharon could use someone to lean on. Nick will give Sharon the support she needs as she continues to mourn Rey’s death.
Although Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) may act like she’s OK, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) won’t be so sure.
Chelsea’s behavior may be a bit erratic since Chloe will fret over her BFF’s mental state.
It’s clear that Rey’s demise is taking a toll on Chelsea, so Chloe will hope she can help before Chelsea goes off the rails.
