The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of May 23 to May 27 tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will stop Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) while Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) gets some alarming news. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will also assess the competition, so here’s what Y&R has in store.
For starters, Victor will fume over Ashland’s apology tour and decide he’s going to put a stop to it.
This is all one big performance in Victor’s eyes, so he’ll shut Ashland down and try to protect Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) from more manipulation.
Of course, Adam and Sally are also manipulating Victoria at the moment.
The goal is to push Victoria and Ashland back together so that it’ll make Victor question his daughter’s ability to run Newman Enterprises.
Adam also wouldn’t mind if Ashland whisked Victoria away from the company and her family.
That would eliminate Adam’s main rival for the Newman throne, but he’ll still have to deal with opponents in the meantime.
Y&R spoilers say Adam and Sally will take stock of their competition, so that may involve assessing just how well their plan is working.
Sally and Adam might feel the need to kick their matchmaking efforts up a notch if Victoria’s standing strong against temptation.
Nevertheless, Victoria definitely has a torn heart here.
The truth is Ashland is Victoria’s weakness, so it’s just a matter of how long Victoria can stand being away from him – especially with all the secret efforts to reunite them.
Speaking of reunions, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will discuss their potential one.
Phyllis and Jack kept things in platonic territory for quite some time, but Phyllis’ recent kiss will mark a turning point and force these two to address their true feelings.
Jack and Phyllis may decide they’ve been holding themselves back from happiness.
Since Phyllis and Jack’s connection is so powerful, they’ll inch closer and open the door to romance.
However, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) could throw Jack and Phyllis a curveball or two since she seems to want Jack for herself.
There have been some clues regarding Diane’s attempt to shove Phyllis toward Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), but that plan may not pan out.
After all, Nick is all about Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) right now since he doesn’t want to abandon her during such a difficult time.
Sharon should continue to lean on Nick and use him as a lifeline while she grieves for Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
As for Diane, she’ll manage to push Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) buttons in a big way.
In fact, Nikki will be pushed right over the edge – and that should mean an explosive confrontation is brewing.
Over with Esther Valentine (Kate Linder), she’ll try to find new love with a guy named Dwight (Sam McMurray).
Esther hasn’t had someone special in her life for a while now, but she’ll do her best to connect with Dwight and see where their first date leads.
Next, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will make a daring move and land on Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) bad side.
Whether this involves more podcast drama or something else, Lily will try to set some boundaries and keep Billy in line.
Amanda will also find out some unsettling news, so maybe this could tie in with her mother’s health issues.
Ptosha Storey has some new scenes coming up as Naya Benedict, so Amanda may deal with a family crisis.
As other updates emerge, we’ll keep you posted.
