The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) could use Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) to come between Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier). Will Chelsea become a pawn in Diane’s effort to break up her son’s marriage?
Diane may be playing nice right now, but what happens once more drama plays out?
We know Diane is going to put a strain on Summer and Kyle’s marriage according to Y&R spoilers. That hasn’t really gone down yet since Summer’s been supportive despite her concerns.
Something is bound to shift and could leave Summer encouraging Kyle to cut Diane out of his life.
Summer took a harsh stance on Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and may be poised to take that same stance with Diane eventually.
There may be some incident that allows Summer to claim Diane is detrimental to Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) – causing Kyle to disagree and push back on this.
Regardless, Diane may ultimately decide Kyle can do better than Summer.
Maybe Diane would like the idea of Kyle being with a more mature love interest like Chelsea, who’s made mistakes of her own and perhaps wouldn’t be as judgmental.
Then again, Chelsea could just be a pawn that’s meant to split “Skyle” and free Kyle up to find someone else.
Diane would no doubt prefer for Kyle to get involved with anyone besides Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) daughter!
Whatever the case, Diane might see the opportunity to use Chelsea to destroy Kyle and Summer’s relationship.
It wouldn’t be hard to push Chelsea in Kyle’s direction romantically now that he’s come to her rescue more than once.
Chelsea also seems poised to work closely with Summer through a collaboration between Fenmore’s and Marchetti.
That could set the stage for a betrayal if Chelsea grows closer to Summer as a friend and then sleeps with her husband!
Of course, there’s no guarantee it would go that far, but Diane could see the potential to blow things up for Summer and Kyle using Chelsea.
Will Chelsea land at the center of Kyle and Summer’s inevitable marriage problems? Will Diane be the real issue?
The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest Chelsea has been inserted in Kyle and Summer’s storyline for a reason, so we’ll see if Diane uses Chelsea to her advantage down the road!
