The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that we have to ask: Will Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) kill Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) in self-defense? Is a deadly exit brewing for this cruel husband?
There have definitely been some grim hints when it comes to Ashland and his final fate.
Ashland needs to pay for what he’s done, but will he ultimately pay with his life?
A murder mystery is still a possibility to consider, but there’s also a chance Victoria could land in a kill-or-be-killed situation.
Victoria may have no choice but to defend herself and cause Ashland’s death as a result.
The show has been highlighting just how much Victoria has been through in recent years.
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) talked about Victoria previously being in an abusive relationship – and fans know he was referring to Victoria’s nightmare with JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill).
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) later left Victoria because he was having some sort of midlife crisis and decided he valued his freedom more than his family.
Victoria also got stabbed by Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) abusive ex by mistake, so how much can one woman take?
Now Ashland has tricked Victoria into marriage and a merger using a lung cancer lie.
When Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) brought up the idea that maybe Ashland genuinely fell for Victoria along the way, Nate doubted it in the March 23 episode.
Instead, Nate argued that anyone who would do that to Victoria is incapable of love.
It may be significant that the writers are steering away from any sort of loving angle with Ashland.
Y&R spoilers say Victoria will turn the tables on Ashland and pretend to take him back.
However, that could bring trouble following some dialogue hints from the March 25 episode.
Billy was concerned as Victoria considered the possibility that Ashland might’ve planned to get her out of the way.
Once Ashland pulled off this merger and made a miraculous recovery, was his plan to kill Victoria and steal the whole empire for himself?
If so, Victoria will be in grave danger once she fakes this Ashland reunion. Ashland may stick to his goal of killing Victoria – but not if she kills him first!
Of course, it’s also possible this will go beyond self-defense since Victoria is so frazzled and fed up.
This whole ordeal has really taken a toll on Victoria, who could easily snap and pump a bullet into her lying hubby if Y&R wants to take it that far.
Then again, it could be as simple as Victoria watching Ashland die from a heart attack in front of her.
Ashland’s heart issues were real, so Victoria might refuse to get him help if those flare up.
Victoria could stand there watching the life drain out of Ashland and accept this is how it has to be.
No matter how the show gets there, a deadly outcome does seem like a good possibility for Ashland.
Will Victoria kill Ashland in self-defense or could there be more guilt on her part?
The Young and the Restless spoilers say some curveballs are still to come as Ashland’s storyline winds down.
