The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of July 4-8 reveals that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) seem poised to team up since Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) enemies will be more powerful together.
The promo kicks off with Adam complaining about Victoria’s return, which means the rug has been pulled out from under him yet again.
However, Adam will refuse to let the Newmans walk all over him this time around.
It looks like Adam will realize that he wants the same thing as Ashland – and that’s revenge!
There’s nothing that would satisfy Ashland and Adam more than taking Victoria down, so they might as well join forces on this.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will have a strong hunch that Ashland will go on the attack, but he may underestimate Adam’s anger along with Victoria and the rest of the Newmans.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) won’t be afraid of Ashland’s retaliation and will invite his foe to take his best shot.
Of course, Ashland could become quite the force to be reckoned with if Adam’s on his side.
Adam will meet with Ashland eventually and question if Ashland is simply out for revenge.
“Are you going to sit there and tell me you’re not?” Ashland asks in the latest preview video.
It sounds like Ashland will know exactly what buttons to push as he tempts Adam with an alliance.
It’s possible Adam could dupe Ashland into thinking they’ll team up as part of a trap, but it looks more like another trap will be set for Victoria and Victor instead.
Adam will revisit his sinister side according to Y&R spoilers, so plotting against his family like he’s done in the past would fit here.
Victor will believe he’s backed Ashland into a corner and will ultimately celebrate his downfall, but that doesn’t mean he’s truly won.
What if Ashland and Adam simply let the Newman clan believe they’ve won – just to make sure Victoria and Victor drop their guards?
That would leave the door wide open for Adam and Ashland to plot a sneak attack that no one would see coming, which is exactly what they need.
