Tonight’s This Is Us episode begins with Rebecca dropping off the kids at school, then she goes shopping, at the beauty parlor where she decides to change the look of her hair. Fast forward to Kate’s wedding, Rebecca doesn’t want to get her hair done and Miguel talks her into it. Randall arrives, he says after his reception toast, she is going to play on the piano. She tells Randall that she can’t wait for his father to get there. Randall looks surprised and Miguel tells him it’s okay, she’s a little confused.
Kate is on the phone with Toby, he called her and says, “I want you to know that I see it now.” Phillip goes in to see her, she is all nervous and doesn’t tell him about the call. She tells him she is worried about how her mom will do on the piano.
Beth and Madison go into Kevin’s room and notice some women’s clothing and a love letter. They are wondering who he brought into this room.
Outside, Beth and Madison are looking around at the women at the wedding and wondering which one it could be.
All the family is outside for photos, Rebecca calls Kevin Jack and Randall says he is not there and hasn’t been for a long time. Rebecca gets upset, Kevin goes over and takes her arm and tells her it is ok.
We go back to when the kids were younger, Jack walks in and sees Rebecca wearing a baseball hat. She is covering her hair because she got it cut short like Lady Diana. Kate says it is ok, hair goes back. Kevin says she looks like peter pan.
Randall, Kevin, Kate, and Phillip sit together. Kevin says the doctor says they should correct her, they should just go with it until the episode fades. Randall says maybe she shouldn’t perform, it might be too much pressure. Phillip says that music is the greatest therapy, the doctors say it is good for her. Phillip assures Kate that Rebecca is going to do it well.
Phillip and Randall go to check on Rebecca. Kevin gets in the elevator with Beth and Madison, he says he needs a nap after last night.
Jack tells the kids that if they can’t say anything good about their mom’s hair, they should say nothing at all.
Randall and Phillip find Rebecca and Miguel playing cards with Nicky and his date, Edie. Miguel invites Randall to do a wine tasting with him. Randall tells him that it is one thing to see the changes in mom, it is another to accept them. Randall keeps talking about Rebecca’s condition and he says maybe they need a break. Randall says he noticed that his hand is shaking and he is taking blood pressure meds. Miguel changes the subject.
Rebecca, Nicky, and Edie are watching the Golden Girls when she looks over and sees Jack walk into the room and tells him to sit near her. She asks him what is wrong, he says he just had a rough night, and she suggests they take a walk. Kevin and Rebecca go for a walk.
Jack goes into the bedroom and tells her that her haircut looks great, she says she hates it. She says she feels like she is on autopilot, she reeks of mom. Sometimes she just gets tired of their routine and she wants to feel spontaneous like they use to. She doesn’t want to lose herself.
Kevin is walking with Rebecca, she asks him what happened last night, and he says he feels lost romantically. She was there for a moment, knew he was Kevin, but then she thinks he is Jack again and says Kevin will figure things out.
Beth and Madison are toasting to figuring out that Kevin hooked up with Cassidy. Then they look down and see Sophie walk near Kevin and they exchange some words, now they think Kevin slept with Cassidy and Sophie.
Miguel is angry with Randall, he tells him that he didn’t need him to call out his handshaking. He doesn’t know what he is going through and he just wanted a day, to enjoy wine with him because he appreciates it. It is going fast now, all of it.
Time for the wedding, everyone stands while Miguel walks Kate down the aisle. It only takes a few minutes and they are married. At the reception, Kevin’s speech is funny, and Randall’s is more serious and heartfelt. Time for Rebecca to perform on the piano. He tells her the stage is all hers and she is frozen, Miguel whispers to her and she stands up.
Jack took Rebecca out to dinner after her new haircut and left the kids at home to have meatloaf with the babysitter. He encourages her to go over and play on the piano. Back to the wedding, Rebecca gets up and performs.
Later, Kevin notices that Beth and Madison have been looking at him weird all day, he asks what gives and they say nothing.
Randall tells Beth that mom is sick and Miguel is getting old, he can see where it is headed. She tells him that all he can do is dance, and takes him by the hand.
Randall asks Kevin what happened last night. He says it is a long story, Randall asks if it is a good story and Kevin says he doesn’t know yet.
