Tonight’s Transplant episode begins with Bash getting ready for his day. Raniya says he is living in sin with her and praying in the morning. He replies that they could fix all that, get married and both she and Amira could do their dancing at the party. She says it is the least romantic proposal since his first one.
Mags is checking a man in the ER who was in a fight and has a cut across his face, she tells him that he is going to need stitches. She does an ultrasound and tells him there is fluid around his spleen, she would like to do imaging to make sure there is no other damage.
More people come into ER from a boating accident, Theo is examining a child who is shaking and screaming stop. A woman looks badly hurt, her name is Olivia, she wants to know about her husband Eli, and son, she says he son has SPD, he is sensitive to lights and touch.
Theo is advised of the child’s condition, he tells the boy they are there to help but his temperature is low and they need to get it up, he is suffering from hypothermia. Mags gives him a needle and the boy is hysterical. Meanwhile, Olivia isn’t doing well, they can’t even take her up to the OR and risk she die on the way.
Mags tells her patient that his spleen is ruptured, and she will refer him to a specialist. She is trying to sew up his wound and he keeps hitting on her. He grabs her and tells her that she has been flirting with him all morning. Security comes in after she wacks him with something to get him off of her. Claire goes in and takes Mags out of the room.
Eli from the boat is now in the ER, Bash tells Theo that he thinks he is brain dead but he will confirm with an EEG.
Mags is being questioned about what happened with her patient. Bishop is there, he is back to work. He asks her if she needs to take a day off, and she says no, she would just rather get to work.
Olivia is doing better, Bash tells her that her husband went without oxygen for too long and his brain is not functioning, he is on a mechanical ventilator, and he is not going to recover. She begs him to save her husband and starts crying. He says he is sorry.
Theo goes in to see the boy who looks better, he tells him that he has been pretty brave. He tells him that he is sorry about the needle and how the blankets make him feel. He tells him that he needs him to speak up if anything they are doing makes him feel bad. The boy asks when he is going to see his dad.
Mags is back to work, Theo sees Bishop and tells him it is good to see him back. Bishop goes to see Bash and asks if Eli’s family made a decision yet, he says no.
June asks Aajay about her father, he won’t tell her.
Bash goes to speak to Olivia and tells her that a decision has to be made about Eli. She asks him to be with her when she tells her son.
At home, Raniya offers to paint Amira’s room any color she wants, but she doesn’t want to. Raniya calls Bash and tells him that she thinks she hit a nerve with Amira.
Olivia son walks in her room, she tells him that when the boat went over, Eli was underwater for a long time. Bash says sometimes when people’s brain is damaged they can’t fix it. Theo tells him that if they turn off the machine, his father won’t be able to breathe on their own. He begs his mother not to let them do this, he says he hates her, this is her fault, she never cares what he wants. She starts screaming that he got upset on the boat, he couldn’t calm down and that is why Eli lost control, this is why it happened. The boy runs out of the room and Olivia cries.
Bishop goes over with Wendy and Claire what he will be doing a the hospital, his motor skills are still lacking.
Bash finds Olivia in the hallway, she is looking at her son in the room. She tells him that Eli knew how to deal with their son, they had this language together.
Mags has the wife of the man who attacked her apologize to her. Mags asks a few questions about his condition but then backs away.
Olivia is back in her bed and she is having seizures. Bash is with her, and Bishop walks in and gives advice. Novak comes in, Bishop thinks she may have a head injury. Bishop wants imaging done but Novak disagrees, he stops administering pain medication and is calling toxicology.
Olivia’s son is gone, Theo request for security to be called and they not touch him if they find him.
June is with her patient, she is explaining the details of a surgery that is electiveve. He is asking her to call his sister and tells her what he has to go through. She refuses to call his sister, there is an easier way to do the surgery, he is taking the toughest route because he wants attention from his sister.
Mags goes in to see the man that attacked her, she tells him that he has a tumor in his brain, which is the reason for the blurred vision and change in his personality. His wife is upset, all these months he has been blaming her and making her feel like she did something wrong. Meanwhile, Bishop and Novak are butting heads over Olivia’s diagnosis and care.
Theo found Olivia’s son, Owen. He is in the room with his dad. Owen says to Theo that his dad is really not waking up, Theo says no he is not.
Bishop tells Novak that he appreciates his services his last month. Bishop apologizes to him for being tough on him when he was a resident. He says he is a skilled doctor, but he doesn’t think he is ready as a leader.
Olivia has made it through another procedure, Bash brings her into Eli’s room with her son. She tells him that she knows she is not his dad, she gets a lot of things wrong, but she is going to try He reaches out to take her hand.
Theo confesses to Bash that he chose his career over his relationship. Bash invites him to his place but Theo says he wouldn’t be good company.
In the locker room, Novak tells Bash he is going back to the ICU. Guys like them may not fit into a place like this, he advises Bash not to let them turn him into who he isn’t.
Mags is having a hard time dealing with the attack, she wants to hate the guy, but it is hard since he has a brain tumor. June tells her that she is there for her if she needs anything.
Bash arrive home, they waited on him for dinner. He asks Amira why she won’t unpack, she asks him why he is sleeping on the couch. He says he is still trying to figure things out but this is her home now.
