Transplant Recap 04/17/22: Season 2 Episode 6 "Liberty"

Tonight’s Transplant episode begins with Bash at home, Rania is making lunch for his daughter, and she walks her to school.

At the hospital, June introduces Theo to her brother Charles. An emergency case comes in, the kid is only twenty, and his name is Dylan. He has a superficial head would and three entry gunshots. June and Bash disagree on how to treat him, but it’s Bash’s patient so he decides. Lopez is there from the police, she wants a blood sample and Bash tells her patient care first. She tells him that she is coming back with a warrant.

A child comes in, he ingested some marijuana pills, his name is Colton. Theo is taking care of him, Jake is there and he tells him to stand back. His mother, Heather, is watching from outside. Theo says there is no way to know the damage until they do more tests.

Mags is walking the hallway, she sees a woman, Veronica, who works in the hospital and burned herself with a pressure washer and insists on helping her. Mags is all done and tells Veronica to come back if there are any issues.

June is talking to her brother, he tells her that their father’s treatment is getting complicated. He tells her that he has six months.

Jed is told that they want him to think about who will replace him when he is gone. He has had two major health incidents in one year. They want him to choose his own eventual replacement. They want a name to float, and they meet next quarter.

Dylan survived, but he is in bad shape. Bash goes in o see him. After his grandmother is there, her name is Rita, she says she hasn’t heard or seen from him in months. She tells him that he does a lot of bad stuff, a lot of people have dropped by lately to see him, a lot of cops, and a lot not. She tells him to make sure he can come home.

Theo tells Iris about his breakup, she tells him about a place to blow off some steam, and texts him the address.

Dylan is awake, Bash tells him that he actually took four bullets. Then Bash tells him that the police are going to come back with a warrant to get a blood test. He tells his grandmother that he can’t go to her house, the people who did this to him are going to do it to him again.

Theo goes to the address that Iris sent him, he goes inside and sees people smashing things, and tells the woman at the front desk that this is not for him.

Bash catches Dylan tearing off bandages and tries to urge him to stop, he tells him that his lung could collapse. Bash goes to see June, he wants her help but after she gives him a hard time he leaves the room.

Theo tells Iris that the place wasn’t for him.

Veronica is back, Mags goes to see her and it’s black. Veronica says it is a chemical burn, it wasn’t steam. She didn’t tell her the truth because she didn’t want her supervisor to know what she did. Mags says there is a possibility that at this point, they might have to amputate her hand.

Lopez shows up at the hospital, Rita is also there and Bash says to Dylan it went. Little do they know, Bash and June took out the chest tube before he left, they had no choice, he was leaving anyway.

Rania comes into the emergency with Bash’s daughter, she fell while dancing and hit her head. He wants to attend her but Jed says no, it is against policy. Theo examines her.

Mags goes to see Jed tell him about what happened to Veronica. He gives him a name of a plastics specialist, he tells her to call, and he will speak to maintenance about the chemicals.

Bash goes to see Rania and tells her that his daughter is alright and he is sorry that he shouted at her. She tells him that she doesn’t feel like his partner anymore, she feels like a nanny. If he doesn’t love her anymore, he needs to tell her.

June tells her brother that her not wanting to see their father doesn’t mean she doesn’t want a relationship with him.

Bash stops by to see Rita, she drops by some medical supplies in case she sees him. She takes the stuff and thanks to him.

Mags tells June her brother seems nice, she doesn’t want to talk. She says out loud, “my dad’s dying.” Meanwhile, Theo gets a message that his ex-wife wants full custody.

Jed arrives home, he tells Claire that he has been made redundant, and they want him to choose a replacement. He tells her that he is not done.

Bash is home, and Rania is on the couch. He tells her that he knows this hasn’t been fair to her. She tells him there is no intimacy with him, what changed. He says everything. She tells him that he should never have asked her to move in. He wants to save the relationship, he doesn’t want to quit.
