In tonight’s 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days episode, Amanda spent her first night in Romania. It was also another first for her. It was the first time sleeping with a man since her late husband and it made her feel weird. She said it felt like she was cheating on her late husband, Jason. The same Jason that died years ago. Amanda was still very much mourning him and that’s why things didn’t go further pass sharing a bed with Razvan. She was trying to deal with survivor’s guilt on top of the usual nerves when starting a new relationship. It probably also didn’t help that she was so far away from her kids.

Amanda was a single mom. She hasn’t spent time away from her kids since her husband passed. Now, she was several countries away. She couldn’t make them breakfast or introduce them to Razvan. There was also someone either telling her kids too much or talking around them too loud. Her son asked to see the bedroom on facetime because he wanted to know where Razvan will sleep. Clear evidence of him knowing too much. Amanda couldn’t control what her kids heard while being so far and so she was doing her best to make her new relationship work.

Amanda was wanting her sacrifice to mean something when the show introduced another hopeful. Her name is Meisha. Its pronounced “Me-Sha”. She gave up her high-flying career in television in order to devote herself fully to her faith. She didn’t grow up religious or anything like that but she did have a moment that simply connected her to God. It happened after her divorce. She met a guy from Sweden. She moved there and they have two kids and then the marriage didn’t work out. She then threw herself into the party scene after she became single again. She was the wild one until one day she got a vision from God while vacuuming.

Meisha saw two suns. She began to feel her body falling down and that’s when God spoke to her. He told her she was going to be alright. Ever since then, Meisha gave up her partying lifestyle. She joined the Catholic church. She now works for that very same church. She feels fulfilled by God and she wanted that in a partner. She lost a lot of friends when she became religious. She describes it as a lonely time. She turned to religious chatrooms online and that’s when she met Nicola. Nicola was a Catholic living in Israel.

Nicola was very religious. He got his devotion from his grandmother. She became a nun because her love for God was so great and so she passed on that love to Nicola and he’s since became something of a religious scholar. He loves teaching Meisha more about the faith. She didn’t read the bible until she had her own religious awakening. The couple now discuss religious matters and share idea about what God wants for them. They’ve been talking for a while now. Only they’ve never met in person.

Nicola was fine with courtship. He just didn’t have much experience with it. He doesn’t kiss or hug women. He’s waiting for marriage for that and so that left Meisha worried. She couldn’t bring him over on a K-1 visa if she didn’t know for sure the relationship was going to work out. They were both devoted Catholics. Divorce would have been out of the question. Meisha needed clarification on a lot of stuff and she didn’t want to find out when she was tied down to him for life. She wanted her answers now rather than later.

Meisha wanted to know if he was capable of a healthy relationship. He may have shunned it because he was bad at it or unable to give true intimacy that went past the physical. Nicola was a forty-six year old virgin. He lives with his mom. He didn’t want to pursue something unless it was serious and Meisha didn’t know if she wanted something serious unless she knew they were truly compatible. Meisha has been married before. She knows what she’s looking for. She knows what she wants. She needed to at least see him in person before she could commit to him.

Not that first impressions were a best indicator of anything. Gino thought Jasmine was a very humble person when they first began dating. She’s since fallen in love with luxury items and she wants Gino to fund a whole lifestyle for her. She wanted plastic surgery, an allowance, and a new expensive apartment. She wasn’t being the humble teacher he fell in love with and that’s why he couldn’t sleep with her. Jasmine was worried it was because of her looks. Hence why she wanted the plastic surgery. She thought Gino not wanting sex was on her and not his poor communication skills.

Gino should also mention that she wasn’t coming over on a visa until he was sure she didn’t want his money. He and his family were dealing with trust issues. Riley was dealing with a breakdown in trust in his own relationship as well. He recently found his Vietnamese girlfriend has been messaging his dad whenever they have a fight. Violet told his dad that Riley was essentially garbage. And Riley didn’t know what to do with that. He came close to hiring a private investigator to get information on Violet.

Riley told his friend about it and she didn’t think he should go to Vietnam to see Violet if he couldn’t bring himself to trust her at her word. Riley ignored this bit of sage advice because he said his feelings for Violet were too strong. Riley truly believes himself to be in love this woman. He was willing to overlook manipulative behavior to be with her. He was also going to keep the private investigators in his back pocket just in case their meeting didn’t go well. He still wanted answers about whether or not she was still on the dating app or if she was living with a man. He was going to Vietnam in part to see if Violet will lie to his face.

As for Gino, he’s back in Panama. He was showing zero interest in any kind of intimacy with Jasmine. She kept wondering if it was her or if she should let him ease into the situation. Jasmine eventually gave up on the idea of sex right away because she wanted to make him comfortable. She next moved on to food. She thought they could make a meal together. She asked him to peel a potato and he whined for the longest about it. He needed a cutting board. He needed a peeler. He then said he wouldn’t help until Jasmine got the proper equipment.

Gino said in his confessional that Jasmine tries to order him around a lot. He then thought demanding equipment to help with dinner was the hill to die on and so he walked out of her apartment once Jasmine asked him to keep peeling the vegetables with a knife. Like it was mentioned earlier, he lacks the proper communication skills to simply tell Jasmine what’s wrong. He just lets her guess his thoughts and, while Jasmine may not be perfect, she deserved better than that crap.

Meisha was meanwhile putting plans into action on visiting Nicola in Israel. She didn’t know that he was lying to his mother about her. Nicola hasn’t told his mom that Meisha was married before or that she has two kids because he didn’t want his mom to know she wasn’t a virgin. He said in his confessional that the only reason they were in a relationship was because she was a born again virgin. He believed she sinned and then she found the light. Meisha had even look into an annulment for her first marriage to see if it would clear the way for this new relationship.

Nicola was happy to pursue the relationship under those terms. Meisha’s daughters, however, were worried about her relationship with Nicola. They’ve facetimed with him and it seems all he ever talks about is God or the bible. The girls were worried that he might judge them for not following them in their faith or if they want a boyfriend. They were teenage girls in the United States. They wanted freedom to find out who they are as people and experimentation was the name of the game. And they weren’t entirely sure if Nicola would be welcoming of that.

They told their mom that they wouldn’t feel comfortable with living with him if he sat in judgement of them. Meisha showed great parenting when she said she didn’t dismiss their concerns. She instead told them that she would find out Nicola’s leanings when she goes visit him. She also mentioned that if it came down to a choice that she would choose her girls. Her daughters matter to her more than anything. She wouldn’t let her faith or Nicola create distance between her and her children. It was also too soon to think about him moving in with them.

Meisha also didn’t know for sure if there was a future for her and Nicola. She still needed to visit him. She needed to see what he was like in person and so she got a chance that Tyray never will. Can Tyray still be considered as a victim of catfishing if he doesn’t believe it to be so? He was the only one that didn’t believe he was being catfished. He still believes Carmela is real. That she wasn’t really a man named Christian. He didn’t want to hear the voice recording of Christian admitting he was Carmela. He was just sure that the producers had got it wrong.

Tyray was so sure that Carmela does exist that he told his sister about his feelings. He told her that Carmela could still be real. They reversed image search the photo that Tyray has of Carmela and it doesn’t come back as belonging to anyone else. He took that as a good sign. His sister thought differently. His sister then asked to see the text message that Christian sent the producers and that removed all doubt for her. Tyray’s sister knew Carmela wasn’t real. The text message cleared up things for her, but she was scared for her brother because she was thought he would go back to giving Christian his money in return for sticking with the lie that Christian was Carmela.

Christian literally wrote that he used Tyray for money. He said he was poor and desperate. He felt bad for leading Tyray on. He knew they didn’t have a future. It was just Tyray that refused to accept the truth. He said that Carmela could be real and that Christian might be an ex-boyfriend that was trying to get him out of the way. At this point, he’s just deluded.

Jasmine and Gino were both deluded in thinking their relationship has any future. Jasmine started crying when she thought she disappointed Gino. Gino came back and comforted her. And rather than have an honest conversation about their feelings, Jasmine apologized for not having a peeler and Gino told her she didn’t need to apologize.

And Razvan pushed things a little too far with Amanda. He wanted to book a ticket to the United States a month after Amanda’s visit ended and he thought it would be a nice surprise. She on the other hand had to remind him that she couldn’t just invite a man to stay with her and her children until she was completely sure the relationship would work out. She told him to give her a year. He then expressed some misgivings about coming to see her at all.

THE END!
