American Ninja Warrior Recap
It was Night Seven of the Qualifiers! Up first was Anna MacArthur. She was the youngest female competitor tonight as just sixteen. Anna lives and works at the family RV park. Anna was very involved in the family business. She puts together theme nights. She also coordinates activities for everyone while she was ninja training on the side. Anna started out at her local ninja gym.
Tonight showed she’s putting the gym to good use. Anna made it pass the dreaded pole vault in spite of being on the shorter side. She made it pass the balance obstacle. She got as far as the fourth obstacle when she fell.
Anna will have to wait and see if she made it far enough fast enough to qualify for the next round. Hunter Ogden was next. He’s been through a lot in his fifteen years. He was born with a cleft palate. He had to have surgery to close the gap.
He’s since had thirteen surgeries and so he was a natural born fighter. His determination came in hand on ANW. Hunter fell in love with the show after developing a knack for climbing and it quickly progressed to this. He even started going to his local ninja gym.
Hunter did well on the course. He injured himself on the balance obstacle and still he pushed on.
Hunter went as far as the fifth obstacle when he fell. Hopefully, he’s fully healed before doing any more scarier activities. Next up was Clarris Morris. She was known as the “Bicep Babe”. She was a truly ripped mother of two. She’s very interested in fitness.
She fell into Ninja training because she needed a place to work out and she heard Sandy Zimmerman had a ninja gym in her backyard. The two ladies have since become friends as well as workout partners.
Sandy was on the sidelines cheering her on tonight. She watched as Clarris made it all the way to the fifth obstacle before falling.
The Bicep Babe will most likely make it into the next round. After her though was Benjamin Drake. He was eighteen. He was here with his older sister and both had their first run tonight. Benjamin was a hardworking teen.
He has three jobs. He works at Chik-fil-A and was a ninja coach on top of having a lawn mowing business. Benjamin does a lot to help his family. He was a musician on the side for himself. He plays multiple instruments. And he like everyone else had wanted that buzzer more than anything.
Only Benjamin was the first to actually succeed. Benjamin had a golden run tonight. He sped through the first obstacles as if it was nothing and he soon tackled Lasso Launch like child’s play. He must really be a great coach.
More people will definitely hire him after tonight once they see his run. Next up was the Big Cat. Karsten Williams was a very tall man. Hence the nickname “Big Cat”. He was also a veteran on ANW. He was forty-two and most would have thought he wouldn’t be as quick on his feet as he used to be.
He did stumble on the balance obstacle only it happened before he pulled off a miraculously save.
Karsten’s experience came in handy. He fell on that same obstacle several years ago. He knows now how to pull himself up and he continued on before he finally fell victim to the fifth obstacle.
Lasso Launch was a menace of the highest order. Even Barclay Stockett fell victim to it. She had her run after the Big Cat. She was the Sparkle Ninja. She was twenty-eight now. She was a proven ninja. She also has never hit a buzzer in her seven years of doing this and so everyone was hoping tonight was her night.
Barclay was in a better mood this season than when she first began doing this. Barclay came out as bisexual. She admitted her feelings to the love of her life and the two are now happily married.
Her new lease on life ensured that Barclay made it as far as the fifth obstacle when sadly she fell. She made it far enough fast enough to make it into the next round. Up next was Vance Walker. He was the most talked about tonight. He was coming from Ninja Junior.
He was a two-time champion on Juniors in spite of being born with Bells Palsy. He then has his debut back in 2021. He got the nickname of Mr. Perfect. Which wasn’t exactly true for his second season.
Vance didn’t hit a single buzzer throughout his second season. He now wanted to redeem himself tonight. He wanted to earn back his title and that’s what he did. He was eighteen now. He was wiser. He injured himself on the first obstacle, but he refused to stop or slow down.
He kept going until he ultimately became the second finisher of the night. And his was the last true race tonight. The only things that were left were the Runoffs. The Runoffs was when the bottom two in the men as well as the women divisions competed for the final spot in the next round.
With the Runoffs, the winner of the men’s team was Erick Zamorano while the winner of the women’s team was Anna MacArthur. And so this will give her something to discuss at the RV park.
THE END!
