Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, August 11, reveals that Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) overheard Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison) on a troubling phone call, so Belle admitted Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) won full custody of Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater).
Chloe reeled over that news since she knew how upset Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) must be.
Belle urged Chloe to be there for Brady, but Chloe reminded her that she was with Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) now.
However, Belle argued that Xander was a loser who was incapable of making a real commitment to Chloe.
To prove Belle wrong, Chloe offered updates on Xander recently asking her to marry him.
Belle hoped Chloe turned Xander down and quickly reminded her of all his crimes, but Chloe thought Belle was being hypocritical since she was hooking up with criminal EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel not too long ago.
Chloe supported Belle back then, so she pushed Belle to do the same for her now and treat her like a grown woman who could make her own decisions.
Belle apologized and hugged Chloe, who understood that her friend was just looking out for her.
In the town square on Friday’s Days episode, Xander came along and found Brady looking down in the dumps, so he assumed this was because he was getting hitched to Chloe.
Brady insisted it was about losing custody of Rachel instead, but he struggled to believe that Chloe would actually marry Xander.
Although Xander admitted Chloe was technically still mulling over his proposal, he felt confident she’d say yes.
Xander reminded Brady that Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) homecoming dinner was tonight and hinted that maybe they could all celebrate his engagement too if Chloe agreed by then.
Once Xander left, Brady called Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) to let her know that he wasn’t feeling up to a party tonight.
Brady also mentioned Xander popping the question to Chloe, so Maggie seemed pensive.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Maggie told Bonnie Kiriakis (Judi Evans) that there was no need to avoid the pregnant elephant in the room.
Maggie confirmed that thanks to her visit to Chicago, she found out Sarah was pregnant with Xander’s baby.
Meanwhile, there were some Chicago scenes between Sarah and Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder), who learned Maggie was now in the loop on the baby and the true paternity.
Sarah worried that too many people knew now and worked herself into a tizzy over the secret potentially spilling.
However, Rex pointed out Sarah wouldn’t be happy staying away from Salem forever anyway.
Rex eventually pushed Sarah to marry him so that his name would be listed as the legal father on the birth certificate.
Sarah argued that a DNA test could disapprove that, but Rex insisted they could win against Xander if this turned into a custody feud.
No judge would award parental rights to a convicted felon over two upstanding doctors.
Although Sarah worried about Rex turning his life upside down and making such a big commitment, Rex insisted nothing would make him happier than to become her husband and a father-to-be for this child. All Sarah had to do was say yes.
At Small Bar on Friday’s Days episode, Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) convinced Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) to attend Victor’s welcome home gathering.
Alex also filled Justin in on how he might’ve accidentally torpedoed Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) relationship with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein).
At home on Friday’s DOOL show, Chad dried his face off after Stephanie’s decision to throw a beverage at him.
Stephanie explained how she pried the truth out of Alex, who was willing to put a deal on the line to protect Chad’s secret.
Nevertheless, Stephanie found out Chad went behind her back to control her, so she wondered what he was thinking when he warned Alex to stay away.
Chad was apologetic and told Stephanie about taking EJ’s stupid advice.
That led to Chad admitting he was terrified of losing Stephanie, who was the first person he’d let himself have real feelings for since Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) passed away.
Stephanie assured Chad of her commitment and made it clear that she wasn’t going anywhere, so they ended up kissing and heading back to the bedroom.
Once Chloe came home on Friday’s Days episode, Brady showed up at the door.
Chloe let Brady in and asked if there was anything she could do since he was hurting over Rachel.
After Brady confirmed that there was indeed something Chloe could do, he surprised her by diving in for a kiss.
Back at the Kiriakis mansion, Justin got on the phone to see if Victor’s plane was at the airfield yet. Alex also embraced Maggie as they put their issues aside for Victor’s sake.
After Xander talked to Maggie about his proposal to Chloe, she seemed poised to spill the baby news and admitted she had something to tell him.
Sadly, Maggie clammed up once Justin got off the phone and revealed that Victor’s plane was missing. That left Maggie looking anxious along with all the other partygoers.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Victor’s tragedy will continue to unfold, so stay tuned to DOOL.
