Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, August 18, reveals that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) paid Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) a visit and made sure he knew about Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) plane crash.
Brady also wanted to apologize for kissing Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), so Xander flipped out since Chloe hadn’t mentioned anything about that.
After Xander decked Brady, he got him some ice and was sorry for losing his temper. Brady figured he deserved it and wound up hugging Xander as they remembered Victor.
At the pub on Friday’s Days episode, Chloe got Kate Roberts Brady’s (Lauren Koslow) attention at the bar, so they talked about Victor’s demise.
Chloe assumed this was stirring up painful memories for Kate since it hadn’t been that long since she lost Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier).
After Chloe offered updates on her relationship with Xander and how she was mulling over his proposal, she hinted about things being complicated due to her feelings for Brady and even Philip.

Since Kate could see how Chloe was struggling over Philip’s grim fate, she was tempted to confess the truth about him being alive. Kate backed out of that confession, but she hoped Xander and Chloe could find a way to help each other heal.
In a moment alone, Kate also called Philip’s number to let him know about Victor’s passing.
At the Salem PD on Friday’s DOOL show, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) reeled over the news that Victor’s remains were found with the Titan jet wreckage.
That left Shawn blaming himself since Victor got on that plane to visit Bo Brady’s (Peter Reckell) facility – and Shawn was the one who put Bo in a coma.
Shawn felt like Victor resented the fact that he was named after the man who raised Bo instead of his biological father.
There was also a flashback of when Shawn lashed out over Victor’s paternity deception regarding Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) as a baby.
Shawn felt like Victor didn’t care about the damage he did, but Belle reminded him that they worked through all that.
Even so, Shawn continued to hold himself responsible for Victor’s demise and felt the rest of his family must blame him too since they didn’t call him with the news.
Since Shawn wanted to be alone, Belle warned him not to go to the bar and seemed concerned about him heading down a terrible path.
Afterward on Friday’s Days episode, Belle ran into Chloe outside the pub and mentioned that she was looking for Shawn.
Chloe offered to help search, but Belle insisted she was just worried and that Shawn actually wanted to be on his own for a while anyway.
After Belle apologized for her previous proposal reaction, she assured Chloe that she wanted to be supportive. Chloe thought that was good since she was actually thinking of accepting Xander’s proposal.
Right as Chloe made that declaration, Brady popped up looking uneasy about her decision.
Over with Xander on Friday’s Days show, he entered the Kiriakis mansion and saw Sarah with her back turned to him. Xander called out Sarah’s name and was stunned to see her baby bump when she turned around.
After Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) filled Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) in on Victor over the phone, he broke down crying in Bonnie Kiriakis’ (Judi Evans) arms.
There were various Victor flashbacks throughout the episode, including plenty during Maggie Kiriakis’ (Suzanne Rogers) conversation with Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes).
Julie comforted Maggie by insisting that the memories would bring her happiness eventually.
It was tough when Maggie had to accept losing Mickey Horton, but she got through that loss and would ultimately get through this loss, too.
Once Bonnie offered Maggie a special tea for sleep, Maggie thought back to meeting Mickey 50 years ago.
DOOL played some great Maggie flashbacks and put a message up to celebrate Suzanne Rogers’ 50th anniversary with the show.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Victor still has a memorial service tribute ahead, so stay tuned.
