Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, February 24, reveals that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) were skeptical of Jake DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) claim that they were still alive, especially since he just disappeared with Nick Fallon (Blake Berris) after he told them.
Next on Friday’s Days episode, Nick played a violent video game during his downtime until Jake interrupted.
Jake appealed to the good left in Nick – the good Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) saw even when Nick gave her no reason to believe in him.
Jake wondered what Julie would think if she got to the afterlife and realized everyone was right about how awful Nick was.
Nick was emotionally affected by Jake’s speech, so he agreed to let Marlena, Kayla and Kate Roberts Brady’s (Lauren Koslow) souls reunite with their bodies.
Back with Kate, she tried contacting Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) again to seek Orpheus (George DelHoyo) updates and fill him in on their latest dilemma.
At the pub on Friday’s Days episode, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) admitted to Roman that she heard about the Orpheus murder plot from Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley).
Roman assured Paulina that he’d been able to stop Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) in time, so she was relieved.
Paulina seemed doubtful when Roman told her about the message he’d received from Kate through the urn, but then she got a big surprise.
While Roman was outside signing for a delivery, Kate reached out to him – leaving Paulina to ask if she could take a message.
Kate learned Roman prevented John and Steve from killing Orpheus, so she was pleased over the news.
After Kate said to tell Roman that they were all still alive, the signal turned crackly and made Paulina miss the alive part.
Once Paulina brought Roman up to speed soon after, he mulled over what Kate might’ve been trying to tell him.
At the DiMera mansion on Friday’s DOOL show, Anna looked through the morning paper and didn’t see Orpheus’ obituary.
Before Anna could call Roman for info, John and Steve walked in.
After Steve and John revealed that they’d called off Orpheus’ murder, they admitted he offered a hint about a mystery DiMera stealing the orchid.
Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) refused to help with a witch hunt, but Steve and John insisted on doing a thorough search of the premises.
However, no evidence turned up in EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) room despite him being the most obvious contender in the house.
Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) was also considered due to his sleazy behavior in the past, but Anna didn’t think he was responsible either.
Steve, John, Anna and Tony kept running through the list of possible DiMeras, including extended offscreen family members.
Just when Tony thought they were out of options, John and Steve realized it could be Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson) who was out for revenge.
Back in the afterlife, Nick and Jake rejoined Kate, Kayla and Marlena.
The women learned that Nick had agreed to send them back home, but Nick clarified that he simply meant they’d be back in their bodies on earth.
According to Nick, the women shouldn’t remember anything that happened in the afterlife.
There were also risks involved, but Marlena, Kate and Kayla were willing to take them as Jake directed them out a set of white doors.
Once the women were gone, Nick told Jake that he hoped they didn’t face a fate worse than death.
In a DiMera Enterprises lab on Friday’s Days episode, Megan entered as Kate, Kayla and Marlena opened their eyes in cryogenic chambers.
That led to Megan cackling over the sleeping beauties finally waking up.
