Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, June 16, reveals that Belle Brady (Martha Madison) found Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) on the verge of opening a new vodka bottle, but it was barely after breakfast.
Shawn argued that his other bottle mysteriously disappeared, but Belle insisted she threw it out because he needed to cope with his issues the right way.
Although Belle suggested therapy, Shawn smashed a trinket and insisted he deserved to be miserable for putting Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) in a coma.
After Shawn stormed out, Belle headed to the hospital to talk to Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) about Shawn’s problems.
When Belle saw Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) looking frustrated, Nicole filled her in on EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) weird disappearing act before their important baby appointment.
Belle acknowledged that the DNA results must’ve been hard on Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), but she ultimately apologized for being insensitive and knew the situation was complicated.
At Eric’s place, Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) admitted she tried to get Colin Bedford (Jasper Newman) transferred to Bayview, but DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) didn’t go for the idea.
Now Colin was probably headed to Statesville for the rest of his life.
After Sloan made love to Eric and got some comfort, he suggested he could go with her to court today.
Sloan was surprised that Eric even wanted to be seen with her considering everything Colin had done, but he insisted love and loyalty was a two-way street.
Over lunch at the pub on Friday’s Days episode, Sloan confessed she was touched by Eric’s offer to head to court with her and reminded him that her baby offer still stood.
Eric hadn’t forgotten, but he still didn’t feel it was the right time to have a child.
When Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) appeared after eavesdropping, she asked “why the hell not” and felt that Eric should seize the day.
If this was something Eric really wanted, Kate thought he should go for it.
Nicole was forced to go through her specialist appointment alone, but she had good news when she ran into Sloan and Eric later.
Due to medical advancements and new treatments, Nicole’s doctor was hopeful about her being able to carry the baby to term.
Eric and Sloan were happy for Nicole, who soon learned they had some news of their own.
After Sloan said she’d just discussed this with Eric, she revealed that they’d decided to have a baby as well and surprised Nicole by insisting they’d be pregnancy twins.
In the DiMera secret room, EJ fumed over being Megan DiMera’s (Miranda Wilson) hostage, especially since she made him miss attending that appointment with Nicole.
EJ opened up to Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) about how much he wanted Nicole’s happiness – even if she didn’t love him the same way.
Kristen confessed that she probably wouldn’t have said “I love you, too” under those circumstances either.
After Kristen suggested EJ shouldn’t expect too much of Nicole right now, they had a nice moment of sibling bonding.
Upstairs on Friday’s Days episode, Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) nearly pulled his gun on Megan to abduct her, but drunk Shawn showed up and made a scene.
Shawn accused Harris of colluding with Megan again, but Harris insisted they were on the same side now and that he was there to deal with Megan – not strike a deal with her.
Shawn vowed to make Megan pay, but she whipped out her own gun and suggested she was well within her rights to shoot him for breaking in and making threats.
Harris said he’d be a witness, but Megan argued that she’d just kill him, too.
Although Megan thought she had a solid case for self-defense, Harris convinced her that two bodies would be a problem and mess up whatever she had planned.
Harris pushed Megan to put the gun down and dragged Shawn out of there as quickly as he could.
Once Shawn was back home on Friday’s DOOL show, Belle brought him coffee to help with his hangover.
Although Belle warned that Megan could’ve shot Shawn, he said he wished she had and acted like he would’ve deserved it.
As for Harris, he gave Kate updates in the park and revealed how Shawn botched his abduction plot.
Kate was upset about Megan remaining free, but Harris insisted this was merely a delay.
At the Salem Inn, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) insisted he saw right through Dimitri von Leuschner’s (Peter Porte) attempt to manipulate Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and kept acting like Dimitri was taking advantage of the good press.
Gwen sent Leo away on Friday’s Days episode and apologized for how he acted, but Dimitri admitted he did have an agenda.
After Dimitri retrieved the flowers from the wastebasket that Leo put them in, he said he hadn’t been able to stop thinking about Gwen since they met.
Dimitri confessed his feelings and acted like he couldn’t expect Gwen to feel the same way.
However, Gwen confessed she had feelings for Dimitri as well and kissed him before they started undressing. As things started to heat up on the bed, Dimitri stopped to check a text.
Megan was just checking in with Dimitri about their scheme, so he tossed the phone aside and told Gwen that wasn’t as important as this.
Gwen seemed very into Dimitri as they fell back on the bed for lovemaking.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Dimitri will keep up his efforts to pull Gwen closer, so stay tuned.
