Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, May 26, reveals that Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) spoke to Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) over the phone and insisted no one would hear about this pregnancy from her.
Unfortunately, Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) overheard, so Anna told him a wild story about Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) fertility treatment research and how she’d offered to be his guinea pig.
Anna lied about being pregnant herself, so Tony suggested it was a miracle and rattled off all the things Anna would have to give up – like wine and soft cheeses.
Since Anna didn’t like the sound of all the sacrifices, Tony eventually called her out for lying and put it together that she must be covering for Nicole instead.
Although Tony felt that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) had a right to know his partner was pregnant, Anna pushed Tony to stay quiet until Nicole could get a paternity test done.
At Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) townhouse on Friday’s Days episode, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) showed up with good news since Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) had been cleared of all charges.
Eric told Marlena and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) that Sloan’s brother, Colin Bedford (Jasper Newman), was actually to blame for harassing Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens).
Since Sloan was dealing with a lot, Eric set up a dinner with Marlena and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) to cheer her up.
Brady didn’t want to be a fifth wheel, but Eric convinced him to come, too.
At the hospital on Friday’s DOOL show, Nicole talked to Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and learned she could get an accurate paternity test as early as next week.
Kayla mentioned that she’d need a cheek swab from one of the potential fathers, so Nicole worried about how she’d pull that off without telling EJ or Eric the truth.
Once Kayla handed over the DNA kit, Sloan got updates on the situation and suggested maybe Nicole could get a sample from EJ while he was sleeping.
Nicole acted like EJ could wake up while the plan was in progress and that would force her to explain.
Sloan pointed out that Eric was a very sound sleeper, so she thought maybe she could get a sample from him instead.
If Sloan got caught, she insisted she could lawyer her way out of it.
Although Nicole had her doubts, Sloan ultimately convinced her to hand a swab over and at least let her try so they could double their efforts.
As Nicole opened the box, Eric appeared and wondered what was going on.
In the town square on Friday’s Days episode, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) found Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) drinking Champagne with Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and discussing their wedding plans.
Kristen suggested maybe Gabi could make her the maid of honor, so her surprise appearance led to Gabi’s fierce outburst.
Gabi was livid over Kristen helping Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) and said she could be in the wedding when hell froze over.
Stefan reminded Gabi that maybe she shouldn’t make an enemy out of Kristen since they could use her vote. Gabi saw Stefan’s point, so she tried to smooth things over with Kristen soon after.
Kristen insisted Stefan and Gabi could make it up to her by taking her home with them, so they realized she wanted to move back in the DiMera mansion.
Next on Friday’s Days episode, Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson) spoke to Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) portrait before EJ walked in and demanded to know who she was.
After she explained that she was EJ’s sister, he realized she was Megan.
Megan was adamant about getting her piece of the DiMera pie and taking her rightful place in the family home as well as the business.
Since EJ and Stefan were locked in a power struggle, Megan thought it’d be best for EJ to keep her on his good side.
EJ immediately started trying to butter Megan up with Champagne and a nice guy act.
Later, EJ and Megan were joined by Stefan, Gabi and Kristen. Tony and Anna came along as well, so Anna seemed nervous about the possibility of Tony spilling Nicole’s pregnancy secret to EJ.
However, Stefan and EJ were focused on celebrating their sisters’ joint homecoming since the fight for DiMera power was in play.
Megan also announced that she’d be changing her name to Megan DiMera, so EJ acted like that was a wonderful idea and toasted to her.
