Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, October 6, reveals that Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) clashed with Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel), who warned Gabi not to underestimate her. If Gabi got in her mother-in-law’s way, Vivian warned that she’d regret it.
Once Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) showed back up at the DiMera mansion with questions about the lies she’d been told, Gabi blabbed about Vivian shooting Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte). Gabi handed over Vivian’s gun right as Vivian walked in looking for it.
Jada got updates on Vivian firing at Dimitri because he had a weapon of his own drawn on Gabi and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash).
Although Jada thought that could help mitigate things, she pointed out that she’d still have to report this to Vivian’s parole officer.
Once Jada left on Friday’s Days episode, Vivian decided she needed to leave town or else she’d go down for lying to the cops as well as violating her parole.
Vivian told Stefan that she’d return to Alamainia and bid him an emotional farewell.
Stefan wasn’t happy about Gabi ratting Vivian out, but she argued that she’d always choose him over his mother.
Besides, Gabi didn’t think Stefan truly wanted Vivian in their house, but Stefan insisted it wouldn’t have been forever.
Nevertheless, Gabi felt like Stefan would eventually see that she’d done him a favor.
At the hospital on Friday’s Days episode, Gwen von Leuschner (Emily O’Brien) confronted Dimitri once he was awake and found a scalpel to threaten his “magic penis” with.
Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) rushed in and stopped Gwen from making a horrible mistake and argued this was out of character for her.
Although Leo made a big speech about how sorry he was and how he sabotaged his only real friendship, it didn’t change anything for Gwen.
As Gwen cried, she told Leo and Dimitri to “rot in hell.” Gwen tossed the scalpel down and stormed out, which gave her a chance to meet up with Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) near the waiting area.
Kristen swore she didn’t fire at Dimitri, so Gwen wondered who did.
When Jada arrived, she revealed that Vivian went after Dimitri for nearly taking out Stefan and Gabi.
Since Jada was there to arrest Dimitri, Gwen smiled and said that was the best news she’d heard all day!
Kristen privately told Gwen that with Dimitri headed to prison, she should perhaps pay a visit to her in-laws.
Kristen thought that Gwen could convince them that with deranged Dimitri behind bars, his wife should get the rest of the Von Leuschner fortune instalments.
Gwen ultimately decided there was nothing keeping her in Salem, so she agreed to try Kristen’s plan.
At the airport, Vivian was in disguise as she muttered about being careful since you never knew who you might run into.
Nearby, Gwen prepared to board her plane and reflected on her time in Salem, which was good in some ways and bad in others.
After Gwen said Salem hadn’t seen the last of this girl, she went around the corner to catch her flight.
Moments later, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) got off the plane from Los Angeles and yelled for Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) to hurry up.
Theresa told Brady to cool his jets as she came around the corner next, so DOOL pulled off a clever little Gwen-to-Theresa recast transformation.
Back at the hospital, Dimitri filled Leo in on his ordeal at the DiMera mansion.
Leo seemed hopeful about his future with Dimitri, but Jada showed up and placed Dimitri under arrest!
At Titan on Friday’s Days episode, Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) put her nameplate back on the CEO desk, but Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) showed up to inform her that he’d be taking over instead.
Maggie balked at the idea, but Alex insisted he had controlling interest based on Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) new will and vowed to let the board formally oust Maggie if need be.
Maggie decided that wasn’t necessary, but she was clearly disappointed in Alex for doing this.
Although Alex offered Maggie another position, she didn’t think that’d work out any better than the last time they teamed up.
Alex spoke to Victor’s framed photo later and hoped “Dad” wasn’t too upset with him for shoving Maggie aside, but he also felt Victor wouldn’t expect him to pass up this opportunity.
After Alex put his own nameplate on the desk, he looked pensive as he sat in the CEO chair.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Maggie put her nameplate in front of a picture of herself with Victor and seemed distraught.
In Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) office, she spoke to Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) about Susan Banks’ (Stacy Haiduk) survival before talk turned to Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) leaving town with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin).
Kate was worried about Philip, but Marlena acted like Kate had to trust him to make his own choices.
Since Chloe felt comfortable enough to ask Philip to come with her, Marlena was hopeful about his recovery.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Philip and Chloe will head off to New York together soon, so stay tuned.
